Check the shift linkage for binding by, like, looking at it, dude. If no joy, with the engine off rock it gently back and forth while pressing gently on the shifter. If no joy, time to take stuff apart. Sorry, dude.
Are you sure the transmission is stuck and the problem has nothing to do with the rear end?
Aftermarket rear ends put a strain on the final drive and drive shaft.
When did the problem happen?
After sitting for a period of time, the rear brakes can lock up when first pressing the brake pedal.
Remove all of the spark plugs, jack the rear wheels off the ground and try to turn the wheels.
If the trani was stuck in gear, the wheels will still turn.
If the brakes are stuck, the wheels won't turn.
The wheels have to turn a little in order to shift gears.
- Old honda goldwing pros and cons? I'm looking to buy a honda goldwing and I have a low budget which means the bike that I get will have an age between 1990-2001. Can anybody envisage any outstanding problems to watch out for? Should the mileage on the bike be more important to me than the age or vice versa?

- Is the 1985 Honda CR 500 water pump gear shaft compatible with the 86-2001 Honda CR 500 water pump gear shaft? I have a 1985 CR 500 and the water pump gear shaft broke. It has been discontinued from Honda, and no one else has it. It is a metal gear. The one's for the 1986-2001 CR 500 are plastic. If I have to use plastic, I will. However, I prefer not to. If anyone knows where I can get the OEM 1985 Honda CR 500 gear shaft, I would forever be grateful.
- I have a Honda GSV 190 mower engine with a broken starter rope and stud stuck in starter that I can't remove.
