How to i adjust the carb from a 79 honda atc110?
I found the carb from someone else, its complete but I just need to know how to adjust idle, rpms. I don't have much experience with motorcycles so I'm learning as I go. But can't find info about this. Any info, links, pics would help thanks.
Again its a 1979 Honda atc110 all stock. Was given to me for free and want to get it running.
Thats the screw on the side of the carb where the slide goes. Those carbs have 2 jets and the slow speed jet is a huge pain! Keep that gas clean with a good filter on it, or you will constantly be cleaning that carb. Mix screw should start at like 1 3/4 turns out then tune in. Timing is set very easily under the top cover on the head left side of engine. Replace points and condenser, i used to gap em at.015-17
edit* under that cover is the points plate. If i remember right, there's a mark at around 12:30 and 2:30 or so, set the mark on the points plate about 2/3s between, closest to 2:30. If i remember right, there are 2 screws holding that plate down, offset at like 10:00 and 3:30 or so. Worked on many old school hondas

- Trying to adjust caster: How to convert inches to degrees? Caster on the driver side is nearly 4 degrees more than the passenger side which is in spec at 2.2. The driver side is at 5.9 positive caster and right now I'm trying to figure out the amount of washers I need to help with the issue. I looked around online and found caster spacers for honda vehicles that come in 1/8 and 1/16. How would I convert inches to degrees?
- How to adjust my dirt bike to my size? I ride a Honda XR500, I'm 6'5 and was wondering how do you lower your pegs and how do you make your seat higher. For the pegs do you have to lower the gear shifter and brake too? When I stand up on the bike the height is pretty good but when I sit down it sinks quite a bit, I'm about 270lbs, can you adjust the suspension for that too? Detailed answer would help please.
