Motorcycle surging and will not low idle?
Honda hurricane 1000f 1988
it starts and i use choke till warmed up but it chugs between 1000-15000 rpm.
it will not idle below 1000 rpm.
when i hit the throttle it dies.
i cleaned all the jets and made sure it was all clean and it idled fine when i started it 3-4 times over a month. Today i start it and it runs like ****… Any idea's out there

1988 is very old. Enough for the gas tank to get rusty inside.
The rust flakes off and re-cloggs freshly cleaned carbs.
Look in the gas tank.
If you see any rust on the walls of the tank or any foreign debris floating around,
re-clean the carbs.
Then clean and seal the tank.
Install an inline fuel filter whether you clean the tank or not.
Get a newer bike.
- Motorcycle idle adjustment? I'm new to riding bikes. I have a honda vf700s, and when i first picked it up its idle was around 2k. Which is too high, but it ran mint so i kept it thee. Now its idleing at 3,000! I really need to adjust it but i don't know how, and of you guys know how?

While I was driving I noticed it wouldn't go any faster while I was going about 60mph but I felt the transmission spinning and the revs were high I then pulled over and put the car in Park and noticed the engine wasn't on Or Is it seized?
- Newer Honda Civic idle low/uneven - would fuel system cleaner All of a sudden I keep noticing that the idle on my Civic is low or uneven and it seems like it might stall out sometimes. I'm wondering what different things it could be and could it possibly help to use on of those additives that supposedly clean the fuel system.
