So I have study material for the written test, but I need to know what I'm up against on a road skills test in Louisiana. I need this, because this is my first road bike, plus not to mention its a 87 Honda Shadow 700, which is a big step from a trail dirt bike. It'd be nice to know all regs, disqualifications, and the maneuvers that I have to do in order to pass. Drawings are welcomed as well to explain the maneuvers.

I have never rode a motorcycle before. I found a 1978 Honda Xl 350 for 1500. I feel it is over priced.
Do you think 350 is to large for me? Also this is an Enduro, I would mainly be using this for street. Is this safe, or a good idea? Should I just stick with a street bike, which is made for the street?
Wondering what a good size would be. Would prefer to look at mid to late 90s Kawasaki Ninja or Honda Cbr series. Just would not want to buy a bike that's too powerful to start off with. I weigh 125 lbs. 5ft 4in.
Its a 95 honda shadow 1100. Cranks but won't start and when i turn the throttle while cranking it. The sound changes but still don't start
