Honda Shadow 750, burning smell?

I have had this bike for a year niw, it's an '07, I changed the oil in the beginning of the season, and it sat from june-Sept because I needed a new front tired and didn't wanna ride on it too much.

Well, now after I ride, I keep getting the smell of "hot glue"

I checked the oil, good color, good level.

What else could it be, I read that it could be the clutch?

Would you recommend a 1975 Honda CB500T?

I'm really in to older bikes. I have tried to get into modern bikes but I don't like the look or feel of any of them. However, I don't have much experience or knowledge of some of them. In this case it is the 1975 Honda CB500T. There's one on craigslist for $2500 OBO. It's in nice looking condition from what I can tell from the pics.

I Live about 450 miles away from the town it is in. I was thinking about taking a trip to look at it but thought I would ask if any one has any experience with this model. I will be using it for around town getting to work and school.

My 2012 Honda CBR250 motorcycle won't start. Video link included?

So I previously posted this question but lacked sufficient information, so I'm reposting with a video link depicting the sound the bike is making.
At first I thought the battery was dead, so I go a new battery, and the bike still won't start. It has 250 miles on it but hasn't been ridden in about 9 months. I took the side panels off to see if there was anything obstructing air intake, nothing observed. All suggestions are welcome.

For the ultimate reliability to pack on many miles on a sports bike?

I'm thinking Honda's CBR250R and CBR600F4i but is their any other bikes that you may know for extremely good reliability with fuel injection and in my budget of $3,000?

-I really don't care if its a sports bike/cruiser/standard/ or even a scooter because riding is riding

How hard is it to replace the piston rings in an 80's Honda 10hp?

I have a 1980's Honda 10hp, in one cylinder I have 105psi of compression and in the other I have 60 psi of compression. I believe this is greatly effecting the performance of it as it can't get my 12ft zodiac planing at full throttle with more than one person in it. I was wondering how difficult it is to replace the rings in it. I have a two stroke dirtbike so maybe that coil be a scale as to the difficulty? I know that being a four stroke it is more tricky because you have to deal the the timing and all but is it really that much harder?
