Tire changing without lever?

I have a 2003 honda xr100r. Its in pretty good shape but over the winter the tire became flat. I pumped it multiple times but it didn't work so i removed the tire from the bike to change. However, I do not own tire levers. Is there any way i can remove the tire without the lever? (its the front tire).

Hi No and it is best not attempting this without the proper tools. However a visit with the wheel to a tire fitters would dive the best idea as they will remove the tire for you fix any puncture or replace any tires which need to be changed. It might take a couple of days top get a new tire.

Yes. You can use large screw drivers but you will butcher the tire and possibly the tube doing so. Their called tire irons or spoons.

Yeah… Wave your magic wand and go DUH

  • Why does the left front wheel on my 4wheeler lock as soon as i touch the lever but the other 1 don't even hardly slow down? I have a 2007 Honda Recon 250 4wheeler and it's been doing that off and on for awhile now, i thought it might have been a low tire because it's done the exact same thing before with a low tire but my tire pressure is fine. I'm guessing something is wrong with the brake shoes but i'm not sure what to look for because i'm not very experienced in the mechanic department and i don't wanna mess something up worse than it already is Haha very funny Andrew
  • Punctured tire replacement - can I replace only 1 tire - is it safe to replace the PUNCTURED tire only? My 2005 Honda Pilot rear left tire was punctured near the threshhold (ie - sidewall), but still usable. Thus the tire dealer patched it only. Should I replace that punctured tire only? Or should I replace the 2 tires on the same axle? Or even buy a whole set of 4 tires? I'm concerned about safety, and thus your best advice is very appreciated.
  • Brake lever doesn't spring back on old motorcycle? I have a 1980 honda cm200 I took off the wheel once to paint the rims and when I put it back on the front brake stopped working when I apply the brake and release it the lever does not returned to it's original position how do I fix this
  • How to fix a sticky brake lever? I have a 2000 Honda XR100r with drum in front and back. The front brake lever is sticky. What I mean by that is when I brake the lever stays in that position when I pull it in and to disengage it I have to push it back out. How do I fix this?
