What level should my motorcycle fuel floats be at?
I have a 96 Honda rebel CMXC250 with twin carbs that started leaking gasoline. What level should I adjust the fuel floats to? Please answer my question instead of telling me what else you think is wrong with my bike. And no "google it" answers. Thats obvious but doesn't always work, if you don't know the answer then don't say anything.
Thanks Jon, xcellant advice. My god, the back yard mechanics on here
I take it your replacing the needle and seat valve ok well i always did it this way some carbs you can blow through the fuel line where the gas comes in and while blowing pull the float up when the valve shuts you can't blow through no more look at where the floats are at there should be a line somewhere on the floats that line should be level you could also pour some gas in and see where the level is the floats need to go up enough to close the needel valve before the bowl overflows if you get it done and back on your bike and the carbs leak out the overflow then the floats are to high if there's no leak but when you floor it and run it through a gear or 2 if it stalls then its not getting enough gas and the floats are to low i hope this helps if your in tampa i can hook you up if not go on youtube search for carb rebuild or float adjustments i bet there are several videos posted that will help you
Buy a service manual and some tools. Get a float gauge from local shop. Below is pic of the one I use. It's in MM. Easy to use

- Power steering fluid keeps going below minimum level in my 2015 Honda Pilot? Hi, I drive a 2015 Honda Pilot which I bought in June of this year. Since then, I've had to refill power steering fluid 3 times because it falls below minimum level after a short period. I have not seen any fluid drops on the ground. I will bring the car to the dealership but is there anything I can do besides refilling the fluid again, so I don't have to make tbe trip to the dealership?

Its Got a Choke and so must be Carb'd… But EVERYWHERE i read, the 2007 Model is Fuel injected? What the hell's going on here? Thanks in Advance FYI, the Dealer Says its Carb Aswell. Wikipedia states only up to the 2006 model is Carb. Ok, now the Dealer is talking about how it could possible be a late register. And it may infact be an 06, but hes not budging on the price.
