My honda 400ex has spark and plenty of fuel but won't start why? Someone help?!
Make sure fuel is getting into carburettor. IF so, make sure it's going into the Pilot Jet.
You can test this via attempting to start the bike, then remove the spark plug. The plug should be wet with fuel, if it's not, then no fuel is getting through. Most likely case is a clogged Pilot Jet and/or Passage. Blow both out with air.
Also make sure plug is gapped correctly for a good spark, blue / purple in colour is what you're looking for.
Always give year, make and model #
Sometimes the year can make a difference.
You say it has fuel.
That is what is in the tank.
You don't know what kind of crud is sitting in the carburetor's float bowl.
Untreated fuel goes bad in a few months leaving behind a sticky goo like substance.
That bad fuel clogs the jets in the carburetor.
Clean the carburetor.
From the beginning the infernal combustion engine has always required. 1) a corect atomized mixture of fuel and oxygen 2) an ignition spark at the correct time and 3) enough "seal" to compress the mixture of fuel and oxygen. Nothing has changed
Will need more info for a better guess.
Does it crank over quick? A dying battery has power being sucked out just turning On the key, meaning less juice to the spark plug.
As for fuel, are you turning Off the petcock after riding? Too much fuel can seep by and slightly flood the cylinder, so too much fuel to spark-off.
Strter. Battery.
- I have a Honda Harmony HRB215 K4 SDA that won't pull start but if I take off the recoil and drill start it, it runs perfect? I have a Honda Harmony HRB215 K4 SDA that won't pull start but if I take off the recoil and drill start it, it runs perfect. I did a compressin test, the pull start only gets the mower to 60psi but the drill gets the mower to 150psi. This mower does have a decompression vale where the ehaust opest about 1/8 of the way. I tore the ead off and checked and cleaned the valves. They don't stick open. Could there be an issue with the decompression valve? Or would it be the piston rings?

I changed my spark plugs yesterday, same brand and number plugs, and ot ran fine for the day, then i go to start it today anf it will turn over but will not start, my gauges will shake, and my odometer says Trip AB 000000 which ove never seen before, any ideas?
- 97 Honda Civic, new clutch and pressure plate but won't come out of gear and clutch pedal won't release? The clutch feels backwards now, won't switch gears unless the car is off and the pedal is all the way up. When you start it in gear it will not come out of said gear unless you turn the car off. The clutch pedal will get stuck down and the car will roll in whatever gear you put it in, when putting the clutch pedal down is supposed to release the clutch… It does not
- Honda Accord no start. It has spark and I hear the fuel pump winding. Why? I checked for spark in all four spark plugs are firing but when I spray Easter into the breather and crank it it does not even fire up a little bit. I have the fuel pump winding in the fuel tank, but have not tested the fuel pressure. Is there anything that I missing here?
