What type of transmission is in a 05 Honda civc dx model?
Did they use CVT transmissions in Honda's in that time when they were manufactured?
Gg
Look at the car. It can be a 5 speed manual, a 4 speed automatic or a CVT.
Did they use CVT's in that year yes but they only in the hybrids and hx/gx models. So more than likely you have a regular transmission in it
Hi as honda designed the gearbox to last 8 years. Why should it last beyond 10 years.
Honda first started using CVT's in the 1995 Honda Civic
It's probably in the 2005 as well.
Try going on KBB or another site that helps with estimating the value of a car and it might tell you what type of tranny it has.
- Transmission going out on friend's 2004 Impala. Is it possible to install a manual transmission taken from a 1992 Honda Civic in this car? Not worth replacing trans on a car this old, but the engine and everything else are still perfect. My friend was able to get a free manual trans from a 1992 Honda Civic. But i'm not sure whether or not you can use a trans from a different vehicle
- What transmission fluid TYPE does a 2008 Honda Civic lx 1.8l take? Everywhere I search people just give the same generic answer "amsoil atf" "I use synthetic atf" "conventional is just fine" and that's not what I'm looking for. I'm looking for the dextron/Mercon or h rating or specific type of atf these use. I'll be choosing synthetic anyways, just need to know the type (and how many quarts to buy)
- Honda fans! I need to know the year and model type of this Honda? I know it's a Honda Civic Sedan. What's the year and model title? I'm guessing a 2000 Honda Civic Sedan?
- Can you put a 7 speed manual transmission in a car that comes stock with a 4 or 5 speed manual transmission? I'm just curious to know if this is possible or if anyone has tried it. I wany to know what is possible to get the most out of a car. I'm probably going to be getting an acura(no hondas) and doing the necessary upgrades, turbo and all that. If anyone has any experience let me know
