Should I repair my car or buy a new one?
I have a Honda Accord. It was given to me by a family member. I'm the third owner. Also, it's been stolen and messed up pretty bad once before. A few months ago I took my car to Good Year and they said there were many parts in need of repair. The total cost would have been about $4,000. I didn't have all the money at the time and just paid $1,600 for the most important things like the breaks. Then later on my battery stopped working and I had to purchase a new one. Recently my car stopped on the freeway. The engine was messed up and got overheated. They told me it would cost $8,000 to repair it. I'm wondering if it's worth it to pay the more than $10,000 needed in repair or if I should just buy a new car.

You have already been duped by whoever "they" are that told you the work will cost $ 8000! They are trying to rip you off, partly because ( I presume) you are a female… My suggestion is to pay for a mechanic to inspect the main components of the vehicle and give you are proper estimate of what it will cost for repairs ; a rebuilt engine will be less than $ 3000 If you aren't a troll get a new car but if you are fix your car. For what you are claiming they told you the cost to repair the motor you could buy a used engine with low miles and have it installed and still have more than 5000 left over get a new car. A car like that will most likely have continuous problems down the road. With 10k you can get a pretty decent car that will last you much longer and save you the time and headache. Sell it to a teenage boy who is looking for his first car, you'd be surprise on how many out there's looking for a beat up Honda instead of a decent one. $!800 for breaks? Really? Find a used engine and put in someplace else.

- If one or two ISP's ban a site and raise prices, can a new one rise up and compete? Why? Why not? What about Honda/Toyota? Or ' MCI & Sprint muscling AT&T aside? Anyone remember Nucor Steel? Each of those took advantage of very different situations, each with seemingly impossible odds. Thing is, they were all LEGALLY allowed to compete. How about here?
- I have a 1998 Honda CRV with 240 K miles. Needs $1200 of repair to pass inspection. Should i fix or buy a newer used Honda civic? Mike? I'm the original owner and have done a good job with oil changes etc. However, it needs 2 front control arms with ball joints and rear struts to pass inspection. I've also gone past my mileage on a second timing belt (first one done at 90K miles). Car body exterior and interior is in pretty good shape. Inside looks brand new. But repair cost at 1200 + timing belt ~500 =~1700 in repars. Is it time for a newer used auto.
- How much does it cost to buy a new car and how to buy smart? I want to buy a 2014 Honda civic ex next year. The msrp is 21,880. My question is how much would the actual total cost of the car be with taxes, registration and fees, interest, etc? Also, tips and advice on how to negotiate and buy the car when I'm at the dealer would be greatly appreciated.
- 2001 honda civic sedan one button on master power window switch does not work. Repair? The button that controls the front passenger window will not work from drivers master switch i replaced it with a new master switch after market but problem still exsist. If you use the button on the front passenger door the window will go up and down. What could the problem be. Could it be the connection plug to the master switch? The other 3 buttons will work on switch.
