The reservoir is only supposed to be filled 1/2 way, if you fill it 1/2 the volume will boil out.
Could be bad head gasket or leaking water pump or leaking heater core, or leaking radiator cap, or a couple of things I can't think of right now. If you can't check these things yourself, have it done at a service station.
- Why does my 94 honda civic over heat but the oil light comes on there's no leaks any where? My radiator over heats the hoes swells but there's no leaks no smoke coming from anywhere the water in the radiator bubbles up when I take the cap off I even put some stuff in it to help cool it down didn't work. I checked the oil looks fine no werid color to it at all. Its no really over heating the engine is hotter then what its suppose to be

- Oil in radiator& reservoir? I have a 2001 Honda Civic LX. 5 months ago, I had the head gasket, timing belt, water pump, 16 valves, thermostat, spark plugs, crank shaft seal (2x), oil pan, oil pump, exhaust manifold and a crank angle sensor replace. Now, I have oil in my radiator and reservoir. Did the mechanic forget something or can a head gasket blow up in 5 months?
