I had the starter replaced with a remanufactured starter on my 2007 Honda Accord V6?
Before the starter was replaced, there were times when there was a clicking noise and nothing else. Now the car turns over and the engine starts, but it seems like it takes a little bit longer for the engine to start than the amount of time it took when the original starter was working well. Do you think that since the new starter is taking longer, it will reduce the life of the starter, the battery, the engine, etc?
No, I think it's not a new car anymore, that's all. Regular service at the recommended intervals can get better performance, but you can't turn back time. Also, you might start planning on having the cam belt replaced if you're between 60,000 and 90,000 miles.
- Transmission - rebuild or remanufactured? My 2003 Honda Pilot's transmission is finally giving out after 210,000 miles. A new transmission is definitely out of the question. Should I consider getting it rebuilt or buy a remanufactured one? With a rebuild, do they just replace broken/worm parts, or do they change out everything? Now with a remanufactured one, I've been reading that EVERYTHING gets changed out and its also tested to perform correctly, like its original state.
- Motorcycle starter over heated starter and only the solenoid clicked so i rebuilt the starter n tested it with a battery n it worked fine? Put it back in bike and again only the solenoid clicks… Is there a fuse for the starter or a relay i may have blown? 1988 honda hurricaine 1000F i'm ready to hang it up but the bike runs so good when it runs. i ran out of gas n kept trying to start it till battery was dead and that is how it got this way. Please and thank-you starter works fine when hooked up to a battery off the bike. what gives?
- I have a Honda GSV 190 mower engine with a broken starter rope and stud stuck in starter that I can't remove. Any ideas would be great When removing the nuts holding the recoil starter in place the nut on the front of the starter is stuck. When I try to remove it the whole stud come out of the engine. Leaving the engine cover stuck to the starter preventing me from replacing the rope. I have tried everything I can think of to remove it with no luck. Heres what it looks like. http://www.ereplacementparts.com/bolt-stud-h425mm-p-554740.html
