Can you put any speedometer in any car?
I want to put a speedometer in my honda civic '97 but can it take any speedometer.
I'm not to good with cars
I hate to be so blunt, but the answer is no. If you could find one from the same year, make, engine and transmission you could put that in and have it work properly. BTW, it's illegal to put a speedometer with fewer miles on it into your vehicle without also putting in a permanent sticker stating the original mileage and the mileage on the replacement at time of installation.
- What is the most reliable car you've ever owned and how many miles did you put on it? Mine was Honda Passport with 250,000 miles bought brand new. Yeah I know it was rebadged Isuzu Rodeo but it was surprisingly reliable with no major problems.
- Can you put harley wide glide forks on a honda shadow ace 1100? Both forks are 41mm. I'm trying to put a 21" front tire on the bike and I'm weighing my options on what I should do. If the forks can set into the triple tree with not much problem Luke only having to make shims then that's the way to go.
- Did you know that Philippines is so poor that if you own a car people will think you're rich? I live in the Philippines and I own a 2013 Honda Fit and I sometimes drive it when I go to the University, it's not even expensive. And my friends think I'm rich. Most people here only use underbone motorcycles for transportation, most families don't even own a car.
- Is there any way I can put in an aux cord to play audio if I only have USB ports? I started leasing a 2019 Honda CR-V recently, and the only inputs seem to be USB ports. My friends like passing around the aux cord when we drive places, and though the CR-V does support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, switching between a lightning cable and a micro-USB seems like a hassle (since they have different phone models). I found some USB to aux adaptors online, but the reviews on them say that they can't be used to do what I want.
