Does Marvel Mystery Oil really help to un seize an engine?

My 2004 Honda Civic Ex seized on me. Thanks to an oil leak that made it run on no oil. I have read other forums on different websites stating that Marvel Mystery Oil un seizes an engine. I wanna try cheaper stuff like MMO or other stuff before I make the decision to rebuilt the engine or even buy a new one. This car in the year I've had it. It's been a mess. I've had 3 times it's left me stranded. I paid 5,000 for it cash last April and so far I've put almost 3 thousand in the engine. From radiator, water pump, timing belt, hoses, and batteries… I need some advice on what to do. It's my first and only car and as a 22 year old I don't know what to do.

A seized engine needs a rebuild or an exchange engine. Magic oil is a con.

Marvel Mystery oil isn't going to fix seized bearings and fried piston rings and cylinders.

No it won't running the engine with no oil causes friction in the engine and creates heat which in turn will warp your crank shaft, engine block, engine head and destroy your main end bearings and will need to open up the engine and take the head block and crank to the engineers and rebuild

It can sometimes unseize piston rings, but that doesn't mean the engine will run right afterwards. You have nothing to lose by trying. Just don't expect much and you won't be disappointed.

Marvel Mystery oil and other soaking methods are for freeing engines that are stuck from sitting over time.
A seized engine from lack of oil will have mechanical damage holding it stuck, not dried gunk.

Do I understand that you put $3000 into the engine and then it seized? I would go back to the shop that did that work and ask them why the warning light about the oil leak did not come on, and why there was a leak in the first place. I have heard of people who poured diesel into the spark plug holes to let it unsieze the engine. Never worked for me.
