How does one get a decent car?

I drove my moms car today to pick her up from the dentist, a 2013 buick regal, it's a really nice car. I own a 95 Honda civic and it's like driving a lawn mower with a car body… I know I could get a nice car with $2000 down but I don't want a car payment or insurance, but may consider it bc of repair expenses on my junk car. My credit is bad, so cash or buy here pay here… Insurance was quoted high regardless of a clean record, I'm 25 and they wanted $2500 down for 6 months…

Work two full time jobs - save everything - I mean everything from your pay check - that is not essential expenses - living essentials not leisure essentials - invest the money and in a few years you will have saved enough to pay for a car in cash and have enough for a year or two of insurance. Sacrifice and hard work -never hurt anyone and made many a man rich.

For only $2k you'll be most likely buying someone else's junk unless you know something about cars or are extremely lucky. I'd look for a 20 year old 1-owner car that is / was driven by a retired person, always garaged, and well maintained.

.
at this point, you can't, you'd very likely be wasting your money. For now be glad the Honda is safe & reliable, & get in a financial position to get a more comfortable car.

at buyHerePayhere, you'd DEF waste your money; don't even walk on the lot there.
