Why does my 2001 Honda Civic keep overheating?

Ok so I'm having many problematic symptoms with my 01 Honda Civic. 1st thing is that my check engine light is on, it's been on for about 8 months now, the code says that it is my vehicle speed sensor, when I took it to the shop they said the the speed sensors were fine and that they're putting out the correct ohms, they suspect it could be a wiring problem, what are your thoughts on that? 2nd my car likes to fluctuate between 2000 and 3000 rpm when I first start to drive but goes away for a little bit, often times when I'm sitting at idle the car once again fluctuates between 1000 and 0 rpm when it hits 0 rpm the car shakes uncontrollably, sometimes my engine would just shut off, suspect it could be a vacuum leak i don't know. 3rd problem, even when I fill the radiator and reserve with coolant, it still overheats after long drives, maybe 45 min or more of highway driving then when I get off it starts to overheat. It never overheats when I go to work which is about 10-15 min away. When ever I open my radiator cap and reserve the next day after it overheats there's hardly anything in there, anyone know why this is happening? How much would it cost to hey all of this fixed?

Car having trouble starting?

I have a 2004 Honda civic with 240k+ miles on it (getting a new car soon) and today I tried to start it and it did not start. But after a second try It started and ran fine for the rest of the day. Later I tried starting it and it started but it was rumbling and having trouble. Eventually after several seconds it started up and sounded kinda normal till the check engine light came on immediately. Last time this happened I had 3 misfires and had work done on it. (Cost me like almost $1000). Anyways I believe it's not the starter since I've had that replaced TWICE in the past 2 years. What could be the problem? I'm scared to drive it. Could the same thing be happening?

2002 Honda Civic AC compressor?

I'm driving from chicago to LA. Drove for 18 hours everything was fine. Tried to start the car this morning and engine wouldn't turn. Took it to the shop and they said the AC compressor overheated and caused the belt to start running incorrectly. They want 1000 bucks. Can I get a bypass pulley and do it that way?

Ac noise in 2002 honda civic?

When I have the fan going without the AC it doesn't make the rumbling/growling noise. When I put the AC on while driving it makes the weird noise but still blows cold air. What do you guys think it is? Maybe the compressor or blower fan?

How should I deal with people who hand out unsolicited advice?

I have an autoimmune disease and suffered since age two. People keep giving me suggestions and advice on how I should handle my illness, etc. But sadly none of their suggestions I've tried and were unsuccessful. My mom's hairdresser whom I never met, keeps giving me unsolicited advice. I was shopping for a car. I had my heart set on a Civic or a Corolla. The hairdresser told my Mom I'd be better off driving a Volvo because Hondas are cheaply made, unsafe and get stolen while the Volvo was built like a "tank". I'm not the "street racer" type and I keep my cars orginial and take good care of them. She did all she could to get me into a Volvo and laughed when she heard I wanted a Honda or Toyota.

This woman also tried to tell me to stop eating Mexican food because it had MSG in it. I have tricuspid regurgitation causing chest pain, etc. I stopped eating Mexican food because of her suggestion and it didn't improve anything with my heart. Just before my father and I took a trip to Japan, she told my Mom I should be "easy" on my father and I'm not very considerate. My father and I take plenty of breaks on trips I mean, I hate people who form opinions about me, especially if they've never even met me. I know people have good intentions when handing advice but I take it as a form of discrimination against people with disabilities.

Why does my car make a clicking noise when I start it?

I have a 1997 Honda Civic Hatchback with a D16Y8 and it makes a clicking noise when i start it but then it goes away. What could it be? Is my engine blown? I checked the dipstick and it has a good amount of oil. Car is not throwing smoking or leaking oil. I'm scared my engine is blown…

Are 06 Honda Civic Hatchbacks good?

I'm looking to buy my second car, upgrading from a 04 Vauxhall Corsa Hatchback.

I've always had a thing for the Honda Civics since I was a lot younger, look wise. I think thats because I saw a modified one once and it was the coolest car on the block at the time.

But I'm curious to know whether their performance is any good. Speed/mileage/fuel consumption etc.

I would like my car to be faster/more powerful than the Vauxhall Corsa I currently have. Is it?

(Other cars I've been interested in include Seat Ibiza, VW GTI, 08 Fiat Punto - among others which I can't remember at the moment - are any of these better?)

My wife and son had a car accident?

My wife and son got hit from the back at a stop, the one who hit from the back was blamed for the accident. My wife is 38 and son 16 they both went to therapy for 6 weeks for back pain but still don't know the bill price. We have a lawyer handling the case were also suppose to receive the money to fix our car the estimate was $1800 ( 08 Honda Civic hybrid ) I was wondering how much money would they be able to recover?
