Every time I stop to get gas in my 2003 Honda element, it has trouble starting?
My car recently had a completely new engine put in and now when I get gas it takes a few tries to get it started. So I put a new battery in and now I have to put my foot on the gas pedal while starting it for it to start. But it's only when I stop to get gas this happens. Every time other than that it starts just fine, no problem at all. Does anyone have any ideas what is going on?
It's the EVAP Purge valve. The valve (item marked with letter E) is locate at the rear area of the cylinder head.
Disconnect the EVAP canister purge valve 2P connector (A).
Remove the harness clips (B), the bolts (C), and the hoses (D), then remove the EVAP canister purge valve assembly (E). See the diagram below:

- Is trouble shooting a helmet lock the same as trouble shooting a key stuck in a door? I have a Honda VFR and the key is stuck in the helmet lock. Its all the way in and turned slightly but won't budge. I just need to know if i should try lube before i call a locksmith.
- Clunk every time I shift into reverse? I have a 2003 Acura RSX w/ 135000 miles. Every time I shift into reverse I hear a loud clunk I sometimes hear it but more faintly when it shifts to 2nd gear. The transmission shifts smoothly and I don't hear and grinding or any other abnormal sounds besides that clunk. What could the issue be? BTW honda/acura vehicles don't have ujoints since iv'e been told before it might be that.
- 95 Honda civic, just started to put and engine would shake every time I accelerate and when AC is on? Yesterday my car drove perfect then today I started it and just when I got on the road it started to shake so I turned off the AC. Then it ran better but once I give it gas it starts to shake again, but if I'm not in gear I can rev it up and there's no shaking just sounds like it runs great. Anyone know what could be causing this problem?
- 2004 honda civic dashboard gauges are recalibrating every time I start the car? I got a new battery for my civic last week. Ever since, every time I have started the car the gauge needles shake and the odometer scrambles before adjusting to their appropriate places (or mileage). Also, the Trips on the odometer reset each time also. Is this a problem? It never happened before I got the new battery.
