Hi, I was wondering if I can take the kick starter gear assembly from a 1995 XR100 honda and put it in a 1983 XR100. Will it fit?
Hate to say it be MAYBE.
Look on bikebandit.com, if both bikes have the same part # than there's your answer.
How much of the assembly are you planning on using, is it worth just replacing the engine?
Improbable…
- Motorcycle starter over heated starter and only the solenoid clicked so i rebuilt the starter n tested it with a battery n it worked fine? Put it back in bike and again only the solenoid clicks… Is there a fuse for the starter or a relay i may have blown? 1988 honda hurricaine 1000F i'm ready to hang it up but the bike runs so good when it runs. i ran out of gas n kept trying to start it till battery was dead and that is how it got this way. Please and thank-you starter works fine when hooked up to a battery off the bike. what gives?
- 1995 Honda Magna vs 1995 Honda VFR 750? Which is better at -top speed -acceleration -do you think the top two matter? -driving pleaser (if you know) -sound (if you know) -reliability I'm looking to get one of these two but I'm not sure which one. I feel like I love these two motorcycles equally so do I get the cheaper one that I can find?
- I have a Honda GSV 190 mower engine with a broken starter rope and stud stuck in starter that I can't remove. Any ideas would be great When removing the nuts holding the recoil starter in place the nut on the front of the starter is stuck. When I try to remove it the whole stud come out of the engine. Leaving the engine cover stuck to the starter preventing me from replacing the rope. I have tried everything I can think of to remove it with no luck. Heres what it looks like. http://www.ereplacementparts.com/bolt-stud-h425mm-p-554740.html
- I had the starter replaced with a remanufactured starter on my 2007 Honda Accord V6? Before the starter was replaced, there were times when there was a clicking noise and nothing else. Now the car turns over and the engine starts, but it seems like it takes a little bit longer for the engine to start than the amount of time it took when the original starter was working well. Do you think that since the new starter is taking longer, it will reduce the life of the starter, the battery, the engine, etc?
