How to properly wire Regulator/Rectifier combo and Starter Solenoid CB750K?
I have a 73 Honda CB750K that I had originally bought as just a frame and engine. I do not have any of the stock wiring connections from the harness. I have looked for a while on the web for a step by step explanation of which wire goes where and have had some luck but all reference general connections "Going back the harness" which I do not have. I'm no wire expert so any as simple as possible explanation of the process would be much appreciated. Green wire goes to… Etc. Any tips or advice that you believe to be important that I might not be aware of would be great as well.
Thanks a lot
Mike
Most manuals Haymes Clymer etc have a detailed wiring diagram at the back of the book. It's pretty small with lots of wires marked close together so a magnifying glass will help you read it.
You could also try ordering a stock wireing harness from Honda

- I have a Honda GSV 190 mower engine with a broken starter rope and stud stuck in starter that I can't remove. Any ideas would be great When removing the nuts holding the recoil starter in place the nut on the front of the starter is stuck. When I try to remove it the whole stud come out of the engine. Leaving the engine cover stuck to the starter preventing me from replacing the rope. I have tried everything I can think of to remove it with no luck. Heres what it looks like. http://www.ereplacementparts.com/bolt-stud-h425mm-p-554740.html
- My car turns over properly but the engine races and won't shift gears? I have a 2003 Honda CR-V with about 182,000 miles on it. Has been driving perfect until last night when I turned it on and the engine was racing like I was accelerating and I was unable to shift gears. What could be causing this and what kind of repair bill could I be looking at?
- How much to fix my starter solenoid? I have a 2008 Honda Civic EX. Pretty sure the contacts on the starter solenoid are worn out. I'm gonna have to go to a mechanic so approximately how much would it cost to get this fixed? If it's just the solenoid, can the contacts just be fixed on the part, or should the whole starter be replaced?
