The stator recently went out on my 2003 Honda Shadow Spirit 750 and I'm currently waiting on the replacement stator to arrive. It's come to attention that some people use blue loctite when bolting in the stator into the case, then a silicone sealant around the case when re-bolting it to the bike. Is this necessary/recommended and what kind of sealant should I use for the case if I need some?
Hi, I'm 16, Michigan, and I'm looking to get a motorcycle to get me to school and work cheaply. I don't want a moped but I've found this tiny Honda Grom motorcycle and I was just wondering if anyone could tell me the monthly payments and insurance that I would be looking at. I know there are a few variables so any rough estimates are appreciated. I just need to know if this would be within reason working at McDonalds. The bike is $3,200 btw.
I have an 05 Honda CBR600RR I had this bike for a while. It just recently started to act up after I get fuel. At first I thought it was bad gas so I got a stabilizer in it. It worked the first time, a few weeks go by and no problems. I fueled up a few times in between with success. Just a couple of days ago I go to get fuel again and It kills over at the pump when I try to leave. I checked the Relay, made sure the connections were firm and not damaged, kill switch on, Kick stand kill switch is bypassed correctly. I changed the fuel pump too. It primed a couple of times after I disconnected the ECM and reconnected it. I installed the fuel pump into the tank, and no bueno. I ran Out of ideas, Some say just get a new wire harness but I wanna save some money on this.
My bike was running great besides the fact it would start to bog down at higher rpms. I tried adjusting the carburetor setting but that did not make any difference. I was told that cleaning the jets the carburetor would fix the problem so I did. After I cleaned the entire carburetor including the jets the bike ran even worse. It won't run without the choke on even when it warmed up and bogs down at lower rpms. Please note that I spark is not the issue because I have replaced the coil and It has a new spark plug in it.
My 18th is coming up and i'm looking for a lams approved race themed motorbike, I own a KTM 350 EXC and i'm not a new rider, so engine size isn't a concern. The real concern is looks, I want something with sponsers and brand names all over it so it stands out, like a Honda CBR250rr Repsol or an Aprillia RS 125 2 stroke.

So i've found out that r stands for race… Most other bikes have either f or t for two stroke or four. So is the honda 250 a four stroke or a two stroke bike? Or is it neither?
I ride a honda crf150rb and I have a track in my backyard. It's got some jumps but my dad and I have grown out of them. I want to add a big tabletop like 4 feet tall and 20 feet long. I don't want to spend more than $100. Is there a way I can do that?
I have a 2002 f4i when my clutch is engaged or if it is sitting in neutral my bike makes a rattling noise it is coming from the front of the bike. My bike is my daily driver so It seems to only do it on certain days but I have noticed it getting worse today it was extremely loud it also seems to do it when I hit the throttle any ideas I don't trust the dealers mechanic where I bought it so i'm trying to get as much info as I can thanks in advance
