So my honda shadow starts and fires just fine. Then after about 10mins of riding the front cylinder cuts out till the bike sits and idles for about 5mins idling on 1 cylinder then sometimes by luck it will start to fire on both. Like a 20% chance of that though. Lol. I swapped the coils and both tested great. I traced the wiring back to the rear of the bike to find my cdi boxes. But someone had said cdi don't just cut in and out. When they fry they are dead. So the honda shadow has 2 pulse generators. Could it be that one of the generators are going out? I'm pretty much at a loss of ideas.
I've been riding dirt bikes for a few months and my first bike has been a Honda CBR 250r. I've put just over 2000 miles on her. I sold it now and looking for a bigger bike that can help me get better into street riding. I'm very safety conscious and yet feel that a race replica bike like the 4 cylinder 600cc's are not wise options especially this early into my riding experience. Mostly because I will be using the bike to commute, and ride inter-city/freeway/ and highways.
From your experience can you share your opinions on middle weight street bikes that can be solid for commuting around the city and carving canyons and that can be beginner friendly?
I bough a 2007 honda crf450r and the guy said he had some cluth installed that did not require the use of the cluth lever being pulled in, in order to operate how do i change it back were it requires the clutch to be pulled in? And did i over pay i paid $2000?
I currently ride a Yamaha ybr125 motorbike and I've been looking at a Honda cbr125r. I want to get the cbr but the insurance on my ybr was paid for the full year. Is there any way I can get the cbr to replace it on the same policy?
I went to get mike bike registered and the dmv tells me my vin# is wrong. Here is my dilemma:
There are 14 obvious digits in the vin and before it there are 3 lower case letters. I brought them all 17 digits because i thought i had to have 17. Is it possible i only need 14 digits for this bike?
I have a 1971 Honda SL175. With no real interest in keeping it "original". I need to bring the bike lower and clear up the space tire>headlight (I know why it has this setup, and will not be taking it offroad ever)
Question: what forks can I purchase to lower the bike? Or would I be able to slide down on my current forks?
The ninja 250 was technically 248cc. The Honda cbr300 is 286cc. There are plently of other examples too. I've never seen a bike whose engine is actually what they advertise
Which exhaust do you like the best? I just bought a 2011 Honda Cbr600RR and am planning to change the exhaust?
I have a 2007 Honda Shadow Aero 750, What is the recommended tire pressure for this? It shows I have 10 psi in the front which looks to be impossible. Because it is not flat or even close when parked and when sat on. (I'm 300 pounds, I think it would droop. And the back says I have 25. How much do I need?
