I bought a 93 honda cbr 900 last year. It has been customized. The person I bought it from said it has a 99 motor in it. Bodies a 1993. I ordered 93 honda cbr 900 speedometer assembly and found out the bike has 99 rims on it, which is the year they went digital so no longer needed the speedometer assembly and cable to the tire… So now I'm out of luck, because the bike still has the 93 speedometer gauges on it. It's to expensive to get a 99 speedometer assembly and make it all work. I've been thinking of just using a Garmin Nuvi 65lm for a gps and it'll show my speed on it…
What I'm looking for is if anyone knows if I should do that, or if there's an aftermarket or digital speedometer I can install on it that will work. Because right now I don't know what my speed is Rpms, or temperature… I kind of want it to work but the cost of getting all the old stuff is expensive. Any information can help and supply links to speedometers if you have any thst will work on my.bike.
I 160lbs and 5'6 I'm 25 and would like to start using a dirt bike. What would be a good starter type like cc's. Also, never driven a street bike. I have heard honda has good bikes.
I've been riding a ninja 250 for about 6 months now and am selling it in the next week or so to get a bigger bike. Both of these bikes are from private owners. The gsxr has 17k miles vs the honda having 25k. Both bikes are well taken care of. But i can't really decide on which to get. Any opinions would be helpfull
Can I ride the 2012 Honda CBR250R sportbike motorcycle without shifting gears, and staying in first gear? - 1
The bike got water in the cylinder and the piston stopped because of pressure in the cylinder. I forced kicked it and it broke free and started… After this it seems like I don't have very high top speed
When i start my motorcycle white smoke comes from the engine. When i ran it for a bit to see if it would clear up, it did not. I loosened the radiator cap to check the levels after i ran it and a lot coolant came gushing out. The heat seems to build up quite quickly on the bike. And not a master mechanic but i know a few basic things. I would appreciate if you could tell me what you think it is, and what sort of action i should take. Thank you for all your assistance.
Added (1). also it is a 1986 Honda Magna VF700C with 71,000 miles on it

I have Honda CBR 600 sports bike engine,1992 model of carburetor engine, I want to convert it into MPFI engine. How should I convert it? Please suggest me,…
There's a cb with a little over 14k on it. The guy has a binder of receipts of everything done to the bike. He sold it to a bike shop and they tuned it up. They are selling it for 2400. It is pretty much brand new and this will be my first bike. My friend says it will overheat on long rides so I'm curious about that.
Here are some of the things done to the bike:
aftermarket accessories: front faring, windshield, crash bar with highway pegs, chrome grips, cargo rack, sissy bar, backrest, K and N air filter, jetted.
replaced rubber intake boots, cylinder head gasket, cylinder base gasket and piston rings. New battery and fresh oil filter
