2008 Honda Shadow Aero 750 choke stalling?

I recently purchased a 2008 Honda Shadow Aero 750. The bike had 1,950 miles at time of purchase. Runs like a dream. The only issue is when cold starting in the morning. I live in Florida so it isn't even that cold and it seems to have problems. I would start the bike and have to give it light throttle to maintain good RPMs until warm. After 30-45 seconds of this bike seems to idle just fine. I attempted starting bike as manual suggests; choke completely out, idle for 15 seconds, push choke in, apply light throttle if RPMs skip and bike should idle normally after this. Instead, when I turn it on with choke out bike stalls almost immediately. Had carb rebuilt and cold start improved but still requires light throttle. Choke issue is still not solved. Cold or warm bike will stall when choke is pulled out whether it be before starting it or after. Mechanic suggested that the choke is flooding the engine with too much fuel. Makes sense. How do I solve this issue? Like I said, once warm bike idles and runs perfectly. Cold start and choke are only issues. Not a huge deal since giving it light throttle with no choke for a few seconds isn't a big burden but if this is a simple fix would like some advice.

Passed CBT test yesterday, category A and Moped category P. What bike can I get?

I'm getting really confused with the new 2013 law, i've read anyone aged 17 can ride a 125cc bike with CBT passed. I did the test on a moped yesterday i'm aged 18 19 in may 30th so can I ride 125cc Honda cbr road legal bike.

now I read there's A1 test? Do I have to achieve this now to get the 125cc bike, or since i'm 18 i've reached the age legal requirements with a passed a CBT test and can go out and buy a spanking new bike 125cc.

How to recover from a motorcycle falling from sand/gravel on ground?

I was on 1st or 2nd gear and making a slow right turn into a park. All of a sudden my motorcycle started to fall as there was a little sand or gravel on the road. I almost hit the ground but somehow I managed to bring bike up by rolling on the throttle. When I did that the bike got up straight again. As soon as I was straight I hit the brakes and avoided falling this way. Don't know why I did that maybe instinctively. At least this is what I remember. I'm a new to motorcycling and I have a Honda crb250. My question is was what I did correct? The whole experience scared the heck out of me and wanted to know what to do if it happens again?
