Why are used Chevrolets so cheap?

I'm looking to buy my first car. My budget is only $4,000. I've been looking at sedans from toyota, honda and nissan, and all the ones that fall in this price range are from about 2008 or before, with around 120k miles, sometimes with accident bumps on them.

when i tried looking at chevrolates I found a lot of of them around $2,900-$3,000 from 2011 and 2012 with 100k miles. Why is that?

What is this part in my honda prelude 4th gen?

There's a small black box right under the air intake tubing that has two hoses coming out, one of them is disconnected and I need to find where it goes. Unfortunately I can't find it in any vacuum hose diagrams. Anyone know what it may be? I'm pretty sure it connects to the air intake or atleast one side does but there's no open holes I could see

Will Halogen headlights be obsolete soon?

Someone at Honda told me that. But halogens for me are decent in terms of night time view. Like I had HID's before and I had a few people flashing me. But even now some HID or LED stock is still blinding with a glare.

What to worry about if i leave my car for a year?

Okay so i had to store my car a year ago and i wasn't able to start it during this time due to where it was stored. I'm wondering what issues i may run into when i start it again (in 31 days) and maybe some resolutions to problems that may arise. Anything to do once i get it started? My car is a 2014 honda civil ex with no issues when stored. I stored it with a dust cover and a device underneath that prevents rats for coming near it to chew wires. It was also stored with a full tank of gas.

Flashing check engine light on 02 Honda Oddyssey after Valvoline oil change?

Got an oil change at Valvoline, and next day check engine light began flashing. Car was running flawlessly before oil change.

They suggested a new fuel filter, as mine was pretty rough. I declined. Got error codes of random misfire, as well as cylinder 1,2,4,6 misfire. Scanner at auto zone listed EGR valve as suggested part.

Could this possibly be that the fuel filter is bad or was put back on incorrectly?

Can a Honda Element keep up with a Mazda 3 or Nissan Altima or neither?

So my car is an 03 Honda Element 4 spd auto awd ex and it being the most heaviest and a boxy shape truxk, I'm just curious as to hther it can keep up with other cars I've owned in the past. I had a 98 Altima gxe auto and a 2006 Mazda 3 5 speed and obviously they are no way to be compared with my car as it's a box but form the specs alone, my car produces more ho than either of them. Having experience with the other two cars in the past the good things I can say about the Altima is it's acceleration being a small 4 cylinder and the Mazda 3, the biggest advantage it has it handling but acceleration is no better than the Altima. However my question if my car had to keep up with either of these cars on the Autobahn we're there are straight away and some curves, can my truck keep up with these two or not? If not, why?
