In October of 2013, I purchased a 2011 model year Honda minivan with 32,000 miles from a domestic brand dealer in NJ. As part of the purchasing agreement, the dealer stated on the sales invoice/contract that they would repair/replace a damaged control panel that I had noticed prior to purchase. Since this was my only concern and the everything else looked ok, we went forward with the transaction. They said they would order the part and that I would be hearing from them in a few weeks…
It is now 10 MONTHS LATER and despite dozens of calls and a visit back to to the dealer, no repairs have been done. Its gotten to the point where the manager will no longer return my calls. I'm very reasonable and have been very patient but this has gone on long enough. The entire experience with the dealer after the sale has been atrocious.
Do I have grounds to return the car due to a breach of contract? If not, what recourse options do I have?
