Why do oil changes cost so much for Volkswagen?

Compared to for ex. Toyota or honda oil changes? I realize it is dependant on where you go. However, i've been to various places outside of dealerships and still the oil change costs more than my friend's who have other cars like honda or toyota…

How come my CRX cuts out at high rpm?

I have a 1991 Honda CRX. It has a 1.5L (D15B2) and it has like 196xxx miles on it and it's automatic by the way. When I step on it, it accelerates fine but when it starts to get to the high rpm range, it starts to like cut out. I've changed my plugs and wires and also the head gasket. Any ideas on what it could be? The car starts right up and the car also vibrates at in gear at idle but the idle is fine. It's not too low.

Why do Japanese stock trends (long term) don't seem as successful/different as American stocks?

I've taken a look at some stocks and American companies like Apple, Facebook, Disney, Microsoft, Google, Blizzard, etc. And (obviously not all American stocks) these stocks seem to increase steadily and consistently over time. Besides Honda and Toyota which have increased increased over the years, other companies like HP, Nintendo, Sony, Capcom, Konami, etc. Have minor growth and maybe a big spike in the middle for a few years and then a decrease.

I personally grew up with Japanese stuff even as an American and feel there a vastness to it I haven't yet come familiar with. Animations are sophisticatedly cool and sometimes strangely cute. Japanese stuff is also cheaper and can last some time if you take care of it.

What's with such an awkward trend?

(Google stock chart of stocks to see what I mean)
