I have been saving to buy an automatic transmission car. My price range is between $3000-3500. I'd like a good looking car that's not too old. Just want some ideas of cars to look at. So far i really like the toyota corolla s and the honda civic. I like sporty looking cars but most of the good ones seem to be out of my price range. Any advice is appreciated thanks!
I have a 2007 honda civic hybrid and i was wondering does those performance chips or car performance programers work on hybrids? I heard they give better gas mileage and more power? I need one because my car does have much horse power and the MPG isn't good anymore because i have Performance tires with Honda Civic Si rims.
If you are driving and decided to hit the gas to go faster (like getting on the highway and someone won't get over so you hit the gas hopeing to get up to speed quick) now when you hit the gas like that the engine and rpms will go up but vehicle speed won't move until about 5 seconds in and will catch and take but when you drive normal and don't have to hit hard there's no problem. Also my wife the other day said while drivng at a constant speed she notice the rpms going up and down a bit like.5-1 and the engine following but speed staying the same so any advice will be nice it is getting close to 300,000miles and have alot of plans on maintenace when i get time such as all knew fluids and all new filters and plug and wires. Now i think some of the issues might be with plug and wires also need to replace o2 sensors wich might have a affect to but was wondering what is everyone else thinks about this
I heard there was a recall for this but I'm not positive because I can't find anything to confirm that. How do I fix this myself if there was no recall? I know nothing about anything under the hood so if you could be specific in your answer I would appreciate it.

All my lights on my car starts Flickering when I'm on the freeway(sometimes), when I turn my car on in the mornings(most of the time). I went to autozone to check my battery and the alternator, and said my battery was not good so I changed it but I still have the same problem. I also checked the fuse and it's good also. I don't know if it has something to do with the engine or transmission because my car has over 200k mileage and you can feel the transmission or I assume it pushes forward itself sort of but it doesn't move, it feels like a bump. Like it hits something inside the engine. Also one more thing, my car lights deemed when I step on the break. Does anyone have any one have an idea of what might be wrong with my car?

I have recently passed my Manual Driving test in United Kingdom and i want to buy a car straight away so i don't loose grip of driving.
The day I passed my test I started looking for cars. Someone suggested and i saw Toyota Auris (2011 model), i took test drive but i was not very much impressed.
On the way back i visited mazda showroom and I took test drive of Vauxhall Astra 2014 model 1.6 Petrol and i was So impressed with that vehicle performance. But someone said they are not reliable cars as the mileage is also not good.
I again started searching for other cars then i searched Hyundai i30 1.6 diesel 2014 model and took test drive which went ok.
I can go and take test drive of Honda Civic 1.4 petrol 2012 model also but i'm bit concerned what to go for as whosoever i ask i get different reviews.
I need help, please suggest me something. I want to buy a good car so i can keep it for a while.

I don't know if I'm doing it right, but I press the rear defroster button and put the fan on max but my rear window doesn't defrost. Or maybe it's supposed to take a long time?
Do I need to press anything else to get the rear window to defrost? It's a new car (Honda Civic 2015) Thanks. 
Test drove both earlier today and I love both, what do you guys think? They're pretty similar price and performance wise.
I noticed one day that there was oil underneath where the driveshaft connects to the gearbox. I said it to the mechanic, he said it was ok. Few weeks later the car popped out of 5th eventually it would not stay in. Mechanic said I would need a new box. He installed one and instantly it still popped out of 5th. The mechanic said that where I bought the box had not reconditioned it properly. I drove the car because I had to. A few days later the car didn't pop out of fifth. I taught I may have mended itself. (oil got into all the gears). To my disappointment the car popped out of gear again about 1000 miles later. I brought the car to the garage that I bought the recon box from, I had contacted them the next day after the box was installed and informed them of it slipping out they wanted to see for themselves. The took the car and said that there was Very little oil left in the box as the driveshaft was loose. They refused to replace it. My mechanic then changed the oil in the box. It stopped slipping out for about 100 miles. I check under the car and oil was coming out from the driveshaft. I brought the car to another mechanic. He said it will need a new box. He said the driveshaft won't connect properly. He also said the driveshaft looks fine. Is there any other reason why my drive shaft would come out? Has this ever happened to anyone before? Is my original mechanic to blame? *also steering is heavy in the centre. Pretty sure it's a rusty steering rack or joint. Maybe wrong
