Should i just buy a new transmission?

I have a 98 Honda civic ex(si clone) running on a b18c1(98 gsr). Recently my third gear messed up. It started with just grinding like once a day then it would get worse and worse to the point where it just grinds all the time and the gear just won't go in period. The previous owner told me that he installed a new clutch because third would grind all the time and once he installed the new clutch the problem was fixed but after I bought it like 6 months with the new clutch it started grinding again(I'm pretty sure a new clutch would last way longer). I wanna buy a gsr tranny but I'm worried ill get ripped off or something cause i don't know much about transmissions. My other option is to just fix the problem. I don't wanna buy a new clutch cause the problem will just come back again. So my question is: should I look for a gsr tranny(I race alot) or keep it and try to fix the transmission it has already(civic tranny)? Also what could be the reason why it grinds?

Should i replace my 08 civic water pump if it has 112,000 miles?

I have a 2008 Honda civic lx and it has 112,000 miles. Some of my friends say to replace the water pump and others say just wait until I see any leaks or hear any noises. Right now my car is running pretty good and there's no leak and my car is not over heating. So what should I do?

Thinking of trading in my car?

I have a 2006 honda civic sedan. It has the speed sensor messed up (you can go 45 but it will say you are going 71) and it needs the high end pipe replaced on the A/C. Everything else is fine. The oil has been changed regularly along with the brake pads, has some minor cosmetic damage (scratches but nothing MAJOR) I would like to get a different vehicle (don't have the time to fix it and need another vehicle to get a job I'm applying for, driver) What would be the best option to go with? Sell it myself and then put that money towards another vehicle? What about taxes and licences? I live in KY so what are the guidelines for that?

Car is overheating fast during the day. About 20 minutes at night?

I Have A 2000 Honda Civic. I Live In 105+ Weather Conditions. During The Day My Car Will Get Hot Within Seconds Of Driving While I Have My AC On. One Of The Things I Noticed Is That I'm Burning Thru Coolant/Water. There Are No Visible Leaks. The Other Thing I Noticed Is That My Radiator Fan Does Not Turn On When I Turn My AC On. I Was Told It Was Supposed To Automatically Turn On When The AC Is On. I Tried To Connect It Directly To My Battery And Run It That Way, But It Still Got Hot. I Put In A Thermostat And A Cooling Fan Switch. I Don't Know What Else To Do. My Oil Looks Fine, SoI Don't THink The Water Is Going In There. There Was No Thermostat Before I Put The New One In. I Think It Took Longer To Get Hot Without The Thermostat. I Keep Reading Water Pump May Be The Issue. If It Is, Is It The Issue For The Evaporating Water Or The Overheating?

Worth an engine rebuild on a 04 Honda Civic?

So a friend of mine had the engine go on his 04 Honda civic. Something to do with the timing belt (basically wrecked two cylinders). However he had, had trouble with the engine before, so the one that got wrecked was a replacement. Between the two of them (engines), their should be enough parts for a working motor. I could purchase that, and the car (everything else immaculate) for 600 dollars. (he would fix it up himself, but he has a family and no time for it) The question I have is, is it worth it? I have little experience with engines (but I'm pretty sharp and learn very quickly) and no heavy shop tools. I have the basics like wrenches and that sort of thing but nothing crazy. Is it feasible that I get this car running again or am I in over my head and should just not bother? This is always something I wanted to try as a hobby anyway - I thought this might be a good opportunity to get started.

What are those long Honda Civics called?

I see them all over Instagram/Facebook and saw one at the mall last week. They look like regular 4 door civics but look longer and have a red Honda badge and have a sticker towards the bottom that says i-vtec

Will I damage my engine using regular motor oil. I have a 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid?

In May, I had the oil changed on my car. I normally use the synthetic oil. This mechanic (not a Honda dealer) said I could use the regular motor oil. No need to pay for the expense of synthetic oil. I have a 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid with 100,000 miles and have never used the non-synthetic oil. I just want to be sure that this will not damage my engine in any way. I have driven less than 1,000 miles since the oil change. I want to know if there's any danger of damage and should I change the oil now or wait until the next time for an oil change.
