90s Toyota rav4 vs Honda crv?

I'm looking for a casual off road vehicle, with decent gas mileage. Preferably 4 cylinder, and around $2000, which is why I'm not considering Jeep. I'm leaning towards a Rav4, is there a reason to consider something else?
