Which s2000 is better?

I'm trying to choose between 2 s2000s. The first one has a silver exterior with red interior, seats are a little ripped, runs good and is completely stock. The second s2000 has many modifications including Spec-D Headlights, Circuit Garage Style Overfenders, Downstar Low Profile Overfender Bolts/Hardware, ASM Style Polyurethane Front Bumper, OEM Rear Black Honda Emblem, Tinted Windows, stoptech street brakes, and invidia n1 exhaust.

Which cars are the best?

Some years ago when I was searching for cars, I either was told or learned that the trinity of cars was Toyota, Honda, and Nissan. I just wanted to know from people who know cars: is this (still) true? And do they really last the longest? Forever with consistent maintenance?

FYI: Back then, after I learned that, I decided on a Nissan Murano and I friggin' loved that car. But I just traded it in and now I have a Nissan Juke.

Cracked top of Honda engine block. Looks repaired but how long will this last?

Bought a used car 1 year ago. It runs fine and no problems. Took the car it for an oil change and mechanic noticed a leak. He took off the oil pan and found this.
Oh the joys of buying a used car…
Looks repaired but how long will this last? Honda quoted me $6000 to repair it…

Can I keep running the car like this?

Added (1). Thanks Dan!

Honda Spree Maintenance?

I have a 1986 Honda Spree, and last night my pipe from engine to muffler completely snapped! (Perfect right?) I was wondering if anybody has suggestions either for home repair options or products they've used before that have worked well. For reference I'm located in seattle, WA.

Also for reference, the pipe is welded onto my muffler, but was just attached to engine, no welding.

I want a car that lasts for a long time, but at the same time I feel guilty for not purchasing an American car, what should I do?

I'm planning on purchasing my first car possibly sometime as early as this fall. My main priorities are a high functioning car that has good control and safety, as well as longevity. My mom has a van that is a Toyota, and that car is currently at 220,000+ miles and stills runs excellent with no malfunctions. It is not uncommon for Toyota's to go over 300,000+ miles in their lifetime, which is nothing short of incredible.

The problem is that Toyota and Honda and other cars that last for a very long time and are highly reliable cars is that they are not made in America. I was watching a youtube video of a classic car show and people were making fun of those who had Toyota Prius's calling them weenies for not having an American car.

The problem is a lot of American made cars just simply don't last anywhere near as long as a Toyota

I'm not sure what to do and would like some advice for choosing a car brand to choose from

Is the Type R a good daily driver?

My Honda dealer was offering a new 2019 Type R for about $36 000. He says if you drive it economically it can save gas, but there's also a sport/type r mode if you want to have fun. He says it has a 4 cylinder turbo engine.

then my Nissan dealer was saying how I should get a Maxima instead. It is roomy, luxurious with a CVT, V6 producing 300 horsepower. It does use a little more gas than the Type R.

I need to buy a new-used car?

Not too old or with too many miles.Thinking about Toyota or Honda. Does anyone have any other ides?
I'd like to keep it under $16,000 if possible.
