I need the entire air conditioning system replaced on a 96' Honda Del Sol. I don't think it will need new hoses though, just a thorough flushing, but it needs everything else, compressor, dryer, etc. How much would it likely cost me to have a shop repair it?

Added (1). I have a 1999 Honda ACE Tourer 1100 and I just bought a Memphis Batwing fairing. Could I have just got a complete Batwing with the dash and installed that? Also, can I get the lower fairing hard case storage units for the crash bars?

I'm in the market for a used car and have been looking at brands I've heard are reliable (Honda and Toyota). I came across a 2005 Nissan Maxima with 170k miles. It is really nice and has all of the features. My question is are Nissans good, reliable cars that could be compared to Honda or Toyota? Does anyone know how high their mileage can get before you start excpieriencing problems, like is 170k too much? I've read some reviews where people say the transmissions suck but others say they've never had a problem. I just don't have much excpieriencing with the brand so if anyone has any advice let me know!

I drive a 1998 Honda Passport. About 2 months ago the AC went out, then the Radio was turning on and off on it's own. About 5 minutes later my car was dead in the street and had to be towed. The Mechanic I took it to replaced the battery, a belt, and the Alternator. Today it did the same thing, with the same pattern.
After looking for an answer in a number of Forums and online answer pages, I found that a lot of Passport owners have this issue. Many replace spark plugs, alternators, batteries, crankshafts, etc and still do NOT see an improvement. I can't afford to rebuild this car trying to fix this.
Does anyone know why Passports tend to do this? Is there a specific thing I should be aiming my attention at?
