1992 Honda Prelude Modifications?

I have a 4th gen Honda Prelude Si. I'm currently working on getting a 2JZ-GTE for it (it has a stock H23A1 in it right now, the only problem with it is a massive rod knock.) In addition to the 2JZ, I want to do a complete overhaul under the hood. As of now, it has had nothing done to it in terms of performance upgrading, like I said, it's completely stock. But I need suggestions as to what kind of modifications I should make to improve performance. The 2JZ should bring it up to around 400 horsepower, and I plan on purchasing a Typhoon Cold Air Intake when I find one. I'm not very well versed in cars, I just recently got into cars and engines, etc. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone who answers could throw up some suggestions to what I should buy, where I could possibly find said parts, and a price range for each. Thanks to everyone who answers, it is much appreciated!

Added (1). Plus I need to know what kind of transmission I will need when I make the conversion, I know the stock transmission isn't going to fit the 2JZ.

Mercedes c 180 1st gen as first car?

Please read the description before commenting!
I'm 18 years old male and now and i've been looking for a good first car. But i'm also very tall (6'8" 1/2) and my legs are very long so according to my experience i didn't fit in any japanese car or mostly any hatchback. Then my friend has a mercedes c class from 1995 c 180 which hes selling for 2k and its in mint condition without any breakdowns in its lifetime. He told me that this is one of the last real quality mercedes and newer ones are chryslers, which are very unreliable. Back to a car. It has enough power in my opinion (120 hp), but i'm not the guy who would always race the car on every straight road to speed as high as possible. I enjoy driving calmly, not exceeding the speed limits. I know those cars are good on long roadtrips as they are known to be very comfortable. I personally hate toyotas and hondas (only toyota i like is a toyota century, but its reserved for japanese rich citizens and i'm from middle europe so its a no. My other choice is the superb if this car isn't good enough. Again, i'm very tall so i can't sit and drive little hatchbacks and japanese cars. I prefer german ones. The american trucks are not available here and full size sedans as well because this is how we have cars in europe.
