Motorcycle batter doesn't hold charge, because?

Ok, hopefully this will be read.

I have a 1971 Honda SL175.

The battery has a stamp which shows 07/11/10. I'm assuming this is the date the battery was made?

THE QUESTIONs?

Is my battery dead (time to buy a new one)?

Is the battery find but something is draining power?

Is there another issue?

Back story.

So My bike was running fine. I recently had an issue kick starting her, looked to notice the headlight was running dim. I bought a trickle charger. The bike starts and runs fine on a full charge. But the charge does not hold more than say 2 hours.

Also today after many kicks to start her, I pulled to my house popped in neutral and it spuddered down tull the engine shut off. Does this have something to do with the battery?

ANY/ALL help will be very greatly appreciated. I'm a motorcycle noob and don't know if i should buy a new battery and be fixed of all problems. Or if i need to visit a mechanic.

What color should I paint it?

I have a Honda big red 250. I recently disassembled it and got it all cleaned up ready for paint but I haven't yet decided what colors. I know I want the racks and frame to be black, all that's left to figure out is the tank and fenders. I'm kind of torn between hot pink (just because I can work on my own bike doesn't mean I don't like pink) and red because It would match my truck. Any suggestions? I love all colors equally, I just want a unique bike, tired of the standard.

What sport bike should I get?

I've saved up some money for a bit. But the time has come where my parents won't let me use their vehicles anymore and I don't have money to pay for a car so I'm left with getting a motorcycle. I've rode a stupid small *** crf70, and goofed off with my friends ktm500. I will need to ride 10 miles on the freeway going 75-80 for 5 days a week. So I don't think I should get a cbr300r. Or ninja 300. I'm looking at the honda cbr650f, cbr500r, ninja 650, suzuki gsx -r600 (I think would be too much). I'm not an idiot, but I also don't want to overwhelm myself. I need something with decent Gas milage, cheap, but can also hold its ground at a constant 80 mph.

Honda Trigger or Unicorn?

I'm 37year family man from pune. Now I'm using Hero Passion. I'm looking new bike in 150 cc seg. I'm confused between honda unicorn or Trigger. My daily running is about 20 kms and week end its is 200 kms. I want comfortable riding with my family. Is trigger comfortable for me? My Height is 5.7. Actually I like Trigger look and style and Unicorn is looking out dated, but I'm confused with comfortableness and one of my friend said that spare part availability is problem for trigger.so what is your opinion? So I could book as early as possible.

Can a 4 stroke dirtbike be ran wide open?

Ok, so I have a Honda CR 85 (bored out to a 100) and A Honda CRF 100. I was just wondering if the CRF could be ran wide open in its top gear? Its a stupid question but yeah. I know 2 strokes can like my CR but 4 strokes are made more for off road so I was just wondering.

QUERY REGARDING HONDA CBR 150R?

Is there any difference in 2014 HONDA CBR 150R model compared to the 2012 model?

I read in some reviews that the switch gear has been updated with "pass light" in 2013 model, is it true? Cause in the 2012, it lacked "engine kill switch" and "pass light switch".

Was there any update after the 2012 launch?

And will there be any future launch for the same segment (ie 150cc).

Lot of questions I know, but very curious to know, since I'm gonna book one!
