Why does my motorcycle stall out?

I have a 2001 Yamaha 650cc classic v star, it has no trouble going from neutral to first and taking off but when I'm coming to a stop in first gear the bike dies out. I've taken the MSF course and I know to ease off the throttle, pull in the clutch all the way and slowly apply both brakes when stopping. I did this with the 250 Honda rebels that we practiced on in the MSF course and it never stalled out in first gear at a stop. Does the larger 650cc need to be in neutral when coming to a stop? If not then why else/what could I be doing wrong to make my bike stall?

What are some sports bike I should look into?

I'm trying find my favorite two sports bikes.

So far I like the:
Honda cbr1000rr fireblade
MTT turbine superbike

I just love the way the engines on these two bikes sound!

Other bikes that have sparked my interest:
Suzuki hayabusa ( I do like the looks of haya, but it doesn't look too impressive after some videos I've watched)
BMW hp4
BMW s1000r

I also have a soft spot for certain exotic things… So I ended up thinking of Ducati, but I don't know which Ducati model would have a similar sounding engine to the first two bikes I mentioned or would go faster.

I'm mainly going sheer speed, jet-like engine sound and sexiness also.

Can a professional race car driver start off racing motorcycles?

I'm 14 I hope to become a professional motorist one day

Like INDYCAR, Formula One, NASCAR, etc.

And I know most of those guys start off by racing Go-Karts

But, personally I'm not a big fan of Go-Karts, they don't feel like a real car.

I like motorcycles, and yes I know how to ride them.

Is it possible to start of racing motorcycles and then later on hope to get noticed and sponsored and make a transition to cars.

I can get like a Honda and take it to the track
And then transition to something like a Ducati when I get older and I get sponsors
And then I make the transition to automobiles

Although I'm not sure weather to get a sport bike/street bike or a dirt bike.
It seems like most youth completions are for dirt bikes and not sport bikes, but I'm not sure on that.

Is a CBR600RR too much bike for me?

I know I asked this question about the Ducati 1098S a while ago, but I took your guys' advice and I'm looking at a 2006 CBR600RR that I can get for a pretty good deal. I'm almost 18, 6'5", about 200lbs, and I have a lot of experience on dirt-bikes, and I recently started riding around my friend's Honda CX500 Custom, and I'm not an idiot. Yes, I do want a fast bike that can make me pucker up a little, but I honestly don't plan on wheeling it or anything dangerous like that, I'm not rich enough to afford extensive repairs on me or the bike. Also, I live in rural Idaho, so hitting a skunk or a rabbit is of bigger concern to me than heavy traffic. What do you guys think?

Running a VIN check on a dirt bike in Australia?

So I was considering running a VIN check on my dirt bike, which is a 00' Honda Cr250 (un-registerable). I'm in Australia and I'm not sure where to go to get this check done as this bike would not have any registration history. Ideas? Help? Much appreciated as i'm just trying to find out my bikes past & possibly the first owner.

WHICH BIKE WOULD BEST SUIT A 6 feet 1 inch GUY WEIGHING 95KG?

Ok so i'm from India 6 feet 1 inch tall weighing 95kg having average body type and i'm planning to buy a bike. I'm really confused which bike would best fit me. I checked on Royal Enfield (as it was my first preference) models but the disappointment i had was that there were so many complaints so many that i started searching for some other bike, then i came across Honda CBR150R and Honda CBR250R. My budget would be around Rs.70,000-Rs.1,50,000. I really don't know if CBR150R or 250R would suit me. Could you please give me some options like some good bike that would suit a 6.1" guy with a average body type?

Yamaha TTR125L road legal in NY?

My buddy just went to the NYS DMV and paid $65 for a registration and license plate for his Honda Rancher ES which is valid for one year. Can I do the same for a Yamaha TTR125L dirt bike or do I need lights and a motorcycle license to ride on small roads in New York State?
