What would be a good touring, cruiser type starter bike for a big guy. I'm a 400 pound guy and am looking for a great starter/cruiser bike. I have looked at a honda shadow 650, or a vulcan 800, but am unsure of how powerful they actually are and if i can even handle it.
I have a 81 cb750c honda I hooked up my battery charger to it and set it to start so I could start it and then I spaced and left it on while it was idealing now i don't know what it is but it won't start need help please!
I was ready to ride my dirtbike all geared up (pants, helmet, boots, etc.) besides a shirt. I have an 80cc honda and a pretty skilled driver. However my father came out and yelled for me to stop and made me put on a long sleeve shirt. Was this right to do? Should he have just let me ride or was he right?
So I got a 2012 Honda CBR250R but its brand new. When I try to quote the bike online it doesn't let me submit because I'm 15 and like 10 months old. I'll be 16 in less that 2 months. So I was wondering if I can just insure it in my dads name and ride on my permit until I turn 16. So what should I do?
I'm currently (15) right now. I plan on getting a job here in a few weeks. I have figured that if I can save $200.00 a week this time next year I will be able to purchase a motorcycle. I have dreamed of riding one every since I was 7 years old, When I seen a guy on a 94 Ninja 250. I currently ride a scooter at the moment I have been riding it since I was (11) So I have been on the road for about 4 years now I know the rules of the road. Please don't tell me not to get one… If thats what your thinking don't even comment… If I was to save about $200 a week I would have around $10,000 next year. There's a motorcycle dealership (Honda to be exact) pretty close to where I live. It's about 17 miles.
The day I have at least $10,000 I plan on packing a backpack full of food and water and walking 17 miles to the dealership and purchasing my first motorcycle and riding it back. I don't like cars and I don't need one because i've already got one I can use anytime I want. I'm determined to get a motorcycle. I just need to know how old I need to be?
Will the ICM from another bike fit? Its starting to look like i'm going to have to SCRAP my baby because i can no longer get a 50$ part and was wondering if any other ICM's from other bikes would work in a 1985 VT500c honda shadow.

Right so back in Feb 2014, Someone went into the back of my Honda cbf125 and still to this date I have had no check for it or anything. The third party insurance used a salvage company to take my bike away in March and so it must be stored right? I was speaking to my friend in the business yesterday and they said there are storage costs and so my question is: Will i be stuck with these storage costs once the claim is settled? I stress that this was not my fault as i was stationary at a junction when the person went into the back of me and i really do not want to be stuck with storage costs that i did not know about when the third party insurance took it away.
Ok, so imma tell you my problems from the beginning. I have a Honda Rebel CMXC 250 1996 on a 1997 chassis/frame (completely rebuilt myself). So I got brand new twin carburetors that I put on myself (hoping I put the correct tubes on the correct connections which I'm sure I did since the bike fired up fast). It ran STRONG for a good 5 minutes. Then it started bang… Then cough and sputter and slowly sound like its having trouble breathing, it was leaking gas out of the intake! Then it started idling going a lot weaker and slower then it wouldn't exceed 45 mph and had trouble breathing and pushing! I literally prayed to god that I would make it back! Lol. Now I thought that I would have to adjust the floats so I tried that in both directions… Why won't it start again! Why was it leaking gas (floats aren't stuck)? And WHY did this happen before? Please no criticisms, don't ask why or insult me, I've never done this before, I have no guidance, this is my first bike and I'm barely 20. Just help me. I want to fix my bike tomorrow!
I can't find any details, even from Honda, what the maximum speed in MPH is for each of the 5 gear ratios on my 750 Shadow. Also, what is the engine redline? No factory tach and no details on what the engine is capable of turning.
