Trying to buy a honda cb motorcycle?

I live in california out of los angeles by west covina and been looking a lot for a honda motorcycle cb aroun the years 1970-1979 and its been hard finding any running ones for cheap around 2000 found some but they are either way to far or not working. Anyways i was wondering if anyone knows any good websites too look at? I'm already all over cragslist and need some help.

Which is better, the 2014 Honda CBR650F or the 2014 KTM 690 Duke?

The MSRP is based at $9,000 for both. My criteria for deciding is based off of a few interests.
*Aftermarket support for crash protection
KTM: has Sato racing lower sliders and Hepco & Becker upper sliders as well as axle sliders and pass. Peg sliders, etc. I want to put Metisse universal X-pads on both the sato & Hepco brackets if possible. This can be somewhat costlier and complicated. KTM's "can" could get damaged in a fall unlike the Honda.
Honda: Basic setup and R&G is coming out with brackets to possibly facilitate x-pads. Clip-ons can snap individually instead of having to replace the whole handlebar like on KTM (this is a plus kind of). This setup may not be as comprehensive as the KTM setup but is easier and cheaper. Also the flush exhaust is safe under the bike.
* Power-to-weight ratio
KTM=0.204HP/lb. & Honda=0.186HP/lb.
KTM has a tuning kit as well.
*Chain lock-ablility
Both have frame pass-thrus for a chain
* wind protection
KTM=barely with that "touring flyscreen", Honda=Yes
* ABS
Both have it.
*Cluster readout
KTM's is slightly better
This would be my second bike coming from an XL883R with approx. 0.0739HP/lb. Totally different kind of bike, I know.
I want to learn very advanced riding skills that in practicing could put the bike down. Please keep your choice between these two bikes. The bikes are within my price range.

Please say why you picked what you did in detail. Experienced riders only please. No smart@$$ answers.

Insurance for two motorbikes?

I have a Honda CBR 125 Repsol 2006, The Insure Third Party F&T is Around £340,
I'm looking at getting a Yamaha DT 125 Over ten years old…
I have a CBT, and I will want to get them Insured as soon as possible when I'm 17 in December.

Is there any Special Insurance I can get to cover both bikes… Or a Policy that lets me ride two?
Or a Cheaper method than covering both on Separate Policies?

I have a 125 honda pcx scooter?

When I pull away I hear a noise from the left sounding a lot like a fan belt noise in a car. Its a 2012 scooter done 7400 miles always had a service.sometimes you don't hear the noise in the sun but wet weather you seem to hear it more.once you pull away the noise goes. When I put bike on stand you can't hear it, its when you sit on bike and pull away.

125cc motorbike or a car?

I'm very stuck on what to do get a 125cc or a car, I will most likely be getting a honda nsr 125 if I get a bike or a vw polo if I get a car, i would enjoy having a bike through the summer but it would be bad in the winter and I keep changing my mind, I would just like some personal experience and opinions of either and help me decide, thanks

Am I too big for ninja 300?

I'm 6'3", and I was looking at buying a ninja 300r, Honda cbr300r (when it comes out), or a honda cbr500r? A lot of my heights is my legs, and I was just wondering if I would be too tall for a ninja 300.

Are motorbike tank covers worth getting?

I really like the look of tank covers and they look practical if I want to add a bag and lug gear.
the bike I have is an upright tourier and is mostly black except the tank which comes silver as standard.
the tank is scratched up so I was thinking either a black tank cover or a black used tank or maybe even a paint job but I would need the bike ready in a day.
my worry with the cover is will it last and how bad is it in direct sunshine as I assume it heats up unlike a metal tank which would remove the heat more.
how much would a tank cost to be painted?

the bike is a Honda varadero 125cc
