1,000cc sport bike too big to start on?

I'm buying a 1998 Honda vtr 1000f and I'm wondering if that's too big to start out on, I think I'll be fine. It's a VTwin. I'm a bigger guy, 6 foot 220 pounds. Some people say it's too big others say it won't really matter

How to get disc brakes on my motorcycle?

I know that if you want to change your drum brakes to disc brakes on a car, you either need a conversion kit or a new rear end. But if you want disc brakes on a motorcycle do you just get wheels with disc brakes or is a conversion kit the only way? I have a 1974 Honda cb550.

Bike guys. 92 Honda Shadow. 22,000 miles. Asking $1200. Good deal or not?

I'm totally new to street bikes, although I've ridden dirtbikes a lot. Just looking for any insights on the bike itself (I've heard they're fun and reliable) and thoughts on the pricing.

I'm not looking for websites or anything, I've already done some research. I'm looking for actual experience.

the owner let me know through email that "To my knowledges she's never been dropped, however in 40 years I wouldn't be surprised if she's tipped over a few times. In either case, she worked great before I let her sit in the garage for two long.

I just bought a a new battery for her and she just needs a carb cleaning to purr again. I just don't have the time for it. "

i can only see little rust spots on the suspension by the photos. I've ever owned a bike, or riden one. If there's anything obvious from the photo, let me know. I wish i could test drive it, cause that would be the best way to tell…

Is my Honda CBR 600RR Clutch going bad?

I have a 2008 Honda CBR 600RR and it is VERY easy to kill it while coming from a dead stop and especially when it is warmed up (175-200 degrees) I bought it with 7k miles on it and have put 3k on it myself in two riding seasons, doesn't seem to be getting any worse but it annoys me, the person I bought it from looked like he tried stunting and I know for a fact somebody did burnouts with it because there's rubber all over the under tail. What are some ways I could test the clutch to see if maybe its just an adjustment? I've adjusted it at the clutch lever and got it as good as I could but still not happy with it. I've heard these bikes are nearly indestructible so i'm hoping its just all in my head or something simple, thanks in advance.
