1989 honda crx thud in noise constantly when driving?

Knocking, thuding, ect noise when driving. Drove it like this for 2 months and hasn't got any worse. When I jacked it up on a lift I noticed you can move both tires side to side but the noise is only coming from the passenger wheel. I'm mechanically inclined but only 22 years old and still have lots to learn. Does anyone have thoughts on what it could be? I don't know whether it's my inner, outer tie rods, wheel bearing [ no humming though], wheel bearings, or rack and pinion. Someone try and help thank.

Is $715 reasonable for my repair?

Due to my tires wearing out faster than usual on my 97 Honda Prelude my mechanic is going to charge me $715 for a wheel alignment, replace my inner tie rods and installing adjustable ball joints. For the price of an wheel alignment is $80 and the ball joints they are ordering are around $100 apiece the inner tie rod price I'm not sure but I assume there about $30 each one. So I'm basically getting charged $400 in labor? Is this right?

Hyundai Tucson or Elantra?

Tucson is hunchback and a hybrid, and well, I've seen Taxi drivers use the elantra, so I'm guessing it's very endurance stuff. Hunchback is good for friends and stuff, but elantra looks better, and is expensive. I still have no money anyway but I don't think I'll manage to get something expensive. Also I'm a bit biased towards asian models (toyota, honda, hyundai, kia) so please decide between those, nothing too small but not a 4x4 please also mind the price. I would love a descriptive answer because i'm not very literate in the world of cars.
