Would a two-seater make a good first car?

I'm getting my first car soon. I'm thinking of a MY00 Honda Civic and putting a half roll-cage in it because of how unsafe the Civic is.

Where I'm, the law is that you can only have half roll-cages. If a half roll-cage is installed, it must be in the back of the vehicle, and the rear seats must never be used to transport people.

There should be enough room to put the dog in the back (providing the bars have padding), and some objects through the bars.

I'm thinking about the Civic because of how cheap it is to run, insure and fix.

Is this a good move? Or should I just get a safer car?

I have a 2012 Honda Civic. I bought it used in June with close to 50 thousand miles. I don't drive it much (as its my second car and my old Volvo SUV uses a lot of gas but I still need the space) but I've only put on 2 thousand miles. It came with a lot of original parts and I've already replaced the tires, and brakes. I notice the headlights seem to dim and flicker often. Isn't that a sign of dying battery? Other than that the car always starts but I don't want it to die out in a sketchy part of town for example.

What does a noise coming from steering wheel of a 2011 Honda civic mean?

The noise is coming from the inside of the car. It is right by the steering wheel. Every time i move the steering wheel even slightly it makes a slight faint noise. The steering wheel turns fine and is not stiff. The noise is definitely inside basically when I'm driving a slightly turning the wheel.

Whenever I'm stopped and i pump the brake I hear a grinding noise from the rear. Sometimes this also happens when I'm just starting to accelerate.It also seems to apply to the emergency brake. As I take it off I hear the same noise, and even when the car is raised (turned off with emergency brake on) and i'm jacking it up itll make this same noise

Why does my 2014 Civic Si have red honda badges on front and back and on steering wheel?

I bought a new Honda Civic Si from the dealership and the guy said that it was one of 10,000 models of that year, it looks nice but i want to know how accurate this is. Why does it have red badges? And why does my engine cover look white instead of black like they are on other Si's? Please answer!
