Honda civic cylinder 1 misfire check engine problem?

So I have a 2001 Honda civic with high mileage. Today my check engine light was on and would start flashing for a few seconds then stop. I pulled over to a car repair place and had them run a diagnostic. The code that came up was P0301 cylinder 1 misfire. We replaced the coils and spark plugs thinking that would solve the problem. We cleared the code and then when I was driving home the check engine light flashed for a few seconds then shut off and didn't come back on for the rest of the ride. Why would it come back on and what else could need to be fixed for a cylinder 1 misfire. The car is driving normal.

97 Honda Civic Transmission slipping?

My transmission is slipping. It has since I've gotten it 3 years ago. I have never done anything more than add Lucus adhesive. The color of the fluid now is brown. I understand their supposed to be ruby red. I've gotten recommended not to change the whole Luis because the newer fluid may be too thin and the tranny will just slip even more. Is this true? Also what should I do? Just had genuine Honda transmission fluid in? Like 1quart? Should I flush it and completely replace it? I want a smoother ride without spending too much. The idea of a new transmission is just out of the question, way too expensive. ANY INFO WILL Help

Why is my 1998 Honda civic lx still overheating?

I've replaced the thermostat, water pump, timing belt, flushed the radiator and done a coolant test to check for gasses and all is good. The fan is wire up so it automatically comes on when ignition is turned on and is blowing the correct way. Do I need to try a new radiator cap or radiator? Engine light is on but it's for a 02 sensor. Any help is appreciated.

Opinion on which car to buy?

I'm buying my first car and having trouble deciding which to get. I have been looking at volkswagen gtis, but I'm having trouble finding one within my price range and decent mileage. My dad found one for me but it is the dsg transmission (basically paddle shifters) and I was hoping for a manual, also it's got rims put on it that I really don't like. Anyway I would still like one just not that one. I also started to look at honda civic si's, 2009 4 door. I never thought I would like one of these but they are not all that bad actually. Does anybody have any other suggestions? I'm looking for a car that is somewhere around 13k and fun to drive.

Honda Civic OBD Connector Problem?

1999 Honda Civic Ex Coupe

My check engine light is on and I've been waiting to get a scan tool. I did and oil change new filter and I expected it to shut off but no luck. I disconnected the battery but it's still on. My friend let me borrow his scan tool and I plugged it in but it's not reading anything. I took a look at the pins in the connector and I have like 5 different wires in. I thinks it missing some is their anything I can do to fix this problem. I need this light off my OCD is off the charts thanks.
