1997 Honda Civic, or a 2002 VW Jetta?

2002 VW Jetta GLX 2.8L engine, automatic, 72,000 original miles.but, it has a salvage title. Everything was fixed wants $3k for it. 1997 Honda Civic DX coupe, 187k miles, automatic tranny. Engine was rebuilt less than 10,000 miles ago, clean title. Is asking $2600. The VW is a much nicer car, but the salvage title + cost of ownership… Was wondering what would be a good choice for a first car?

Just got my licence, was wondering what would be a good first car?

The bad part is, I only have a $3,000 limit, I can save up more. But I live 25 miles outside of town, so I need a car to get to work. Based on the fact I live 25 miles outside of town, I would like something with good mpg. Every car I've been able to find has a stick shift, salvage title, or 200K+ miles. I'm just stuck on what I should be looking for. I don't want one of the beat up Honda civics that somebody lowered. And if possible, I was thinking about looking for a 68-73 Nova. But I doubt I'll find one running for that price.

Any ideas?

When you adjust coilovers do they all have to be on the same height?

Ksport Kontrol Pro Coilover system
Honda Civic

Added (1). A guy is selling a car, but it's like way too low. He said you can adjust the coilovers and I was watching a video, it seems easy but takes some time, even for just adjusting one. Do I have to get behind all four wheels and adjust them the same?

Can I put a Honda S2000 engine in my civic?

I have a 2000 Honda civic LX and its only a four cylinder and I want some damn power and something to make my friends jealous! I was wondering if I could put a Honda S2000 engine in it? Would it fit? What else would I have to get for it, a new transmission?

Buy a new car or pay off student loans?

So I graduated college in December, and it's time to pay up those loans. But as much as I would love to not see the monthly bill for my loan coming to me anymore, I would really like to by a new car (Honda Civic Si). I have $25k save up in the bank, just enough to pay off that loan or to buy the car cash and have a bit left over… What would you recommend?

Should I sell my car? Or do I have options?

I'm a 20 years old about to be 21 in 3 months. I have a 2008 honda civic si but I wanna know if I should sell it or refinance? I moved to florida on my own and I'm making 1500 a month with 2 jobs and my car payments are 400 a month a 300 for insurance. I love my car but it's to much money for me to afford 400 a month:/ is there anything I can do to keep my car or do I have to just sell it?

1992 Honda Civic Lx air conditioner?

So I own a Honda 92 Civic Lx and it didn't come with an air conditioner. It does have a heater and a A/C button but when the hood is lifted there's no sign of a air conditioning system but the vents are there. How much would it cost to install a air cooling unit?

Went to go see this 2002 Honda Civic EX? Is it worth it?

http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/cto/4506258637.html

Okay. First off I'm not paying $6K for it. I already told him the most I would give him was $4.5K. So I told him if he doesn't get a better offer before he moves, mine still stands. I went to go to see it in person today, but didn't inspect it fully. I did look under the hood, and it's not in a very clean condition. He apparently bought it two years ago when it had 112K so I know the previous owner before had a longer history with the car. I just want to know if it would be worth it or not. I have yet to check under the car but it's really low. The coilovers and body kits are modified. Btw I'm looking for a first car, so I can't afford to make the wrong purchase.

Added (1). Also I got the VIN and carfax showed 24 reports while autocheck showed 32. I haven't purchased it yet, because he might sell it, but probably will if I he doesn't sell the car.
