Question, i took the head off my 2002 civic lx and i was checking it with a straight edge. When i pass it over the mating surface, it hits the open valves. Is removing the valves a must when milling it? I've seen other heads with the valves completely closed when being milled.
Motor is a d17a1 btw.
Honda civic fans, does the added chrome look nice or should I take it out? - 1
I drive 2001 Honda Civic LX. Had to drive through deep waters to get home from work yesterday. I made through the worst of it and then drove for another 20-30 minutes till i got home.Brakes were making a funny noise and front right light gave up. Also most of my dashboard lights went off. After getting home i went back to the car and tried to start it and all it did was give this clicking noise and wouldn't start. Any ideas what i should do? Keep in mind i'm a total newbie when it comes to cars and engines.
I've been driving manual for about an year now, and i've been through a couple of cars now. But i would like to know how you can shift perfectly through gears.
How i shift usually is after i press the clutch and shift to the next gear, i slowly let go of the clutch to the point wear it grabs, then add a little throttle as i'm letting go of the clutch fully.
But sometimes, when i do that, my rpm revs up and THEN grabs in gear towards the end… Sometimes i don't even bother adding gas until the clutch is FULLY let off because of this.
I know i should have this down since i've been driving manual for a year now but help would be appreciated nevertheless.
I got in a car accident a while ago… I have a 92 Honda civic, which is worth about $2000. The accident wasn't my fault since I got hit from behind. The person who hit me… Her insurance told me that the damage might be worth more than the car when they came to appraise the damage, and that if that's the case… They would have to consider it totaled or something like that. What's supposed to happen? What are they going to do?
My dad has a 2006 Honda Civic Si. He recently installed a expensive body kit. He hates it that he has to drill holes in the new body kit in the front bumper. Can the car be driven without a front license plate? Or can you put it in the front windshield of the driver's side?
In order to drive straight the top of the wheel is pointing between the 12 and the 11 and that is when there's no space between the outer tie rod end and the nut should i create some space between them? 2000 honda civic dx
I have 182,000 miles on my car and it has recently been getting hot when i stop or slow down but not while driving on the highway. I added water to my reservoir and 3 hours later it had lost about a tablespoon of liquid. I noticed a leak the size of a salad plate underneath my car but couldn't tell where it was coming from. It was in the middle about ten inches back from between my two fans. We just replaced the cooling fan relay and radiator fan thermostatic switch thinking that was the problem since there was no leak before. They found small traces of coolant in the water pump which is due to be replaced. Can anyone help me?
I was reading the features that the car I have has, but i've never been able to figure out what this means: Passenger-Side Walk-In Feature: with Memory? Anyone knows?
I'm just curious!
