Any ideas on cause of a clunking noise (2007 (7th Gen) Honda Accord EX-L V6)?

I own a 2007 Honda Accord EX-L V6 (7th Generation). Recently, there has been a clunking noise coming from the rear of the car. I'm looking for ideas as to its cause (potentially for an "easy" DIY job). I live in Michigan, so conditions are prime for corrosion and road damage (potholes galore).

The clunking seems to occur after braking (during acceleration) and at lower speeds. I looked at the rear brakes recently and found even wear patterns. I don't suspect the brakes are the cause, but I haven't discounted it completely.

I figured I might as well get a list of other options before I get the car up on the jack stand to figure it out.

Potential issues I'm toying with…
1) Brakes/calipers
2) Shot shocks/springs
3) Roll bar assembly (Broken droplinks? I've heard this is a problem in the front, but I don't know about the rear.)

Ideas for other things to check on while I've got the car on lifts would be appreciated.

Should i replace my starter on 97 honda accord?

My car went out on me unexpectedly, tried to give it a jump it did nothing, when a mechanic finally arrived he switched my battery with another cars battery and he SAID it worked bt i still wasn't get power to crank the car up and only light on my dashboard that comes on is the "battery light " after an hour of confusion he told me a trick to jump start my car with a wire hanger he touched the starter core with one in of the hanger and then touched the Positive side of my battery with the other end of hanger, when i go to turn the key it finally started! Bt i'm still confused on what the problem might be non of my lights come on my bashboard and my gas meter even stopped working only thing thats still active is my radio and car charger? Does this seem like a major problem or is this minor i haven't drove the car since the wire hanger incident

What type of car to get under 18k?

I'm a 17 yer old male looking to buy a new car. I live in the Appalachian mountain so some bad weather is expected. I enjoy cars that can go kinda fast and look sleek but I also want a car that will last me a good bit. I was looking into a 2013 honda accord but I want a car that I don't have to worry as my much about. I also tend to have about 5 people in my car at least twice a week.

Which brand of cars lasts longest, in your experience?

I know Toyotas are known to last a really long time. I have heard the same thing about Hondas, Mercedes-Benzes, and Volvos. My uncle drives a 1988 Honda Accord, but it will soon be replaced.

A lot of cars last 15 or 20 years, but 30 years is a little more impressive.

No turbo, no rwd, and manual?

I recently got an 8th generation Honda Accord EX-L V6 6spd. Manual. My friend loves it but obviously doesn't want to buy the same car.

other than beamers, is there anything out there that fits this description and is below $45k brand new?

-no turbo (preferably 6 cylinder). Doesn't want to have to use premium gas during commute to work.

-manual only. Like me, he prefers a manual transmission.

-FWD or AWD. We live in western PA. Snow happens here.

-250hp+/-. He's currently driving a fantastic '13 Acura TSX but is disappointed with the 200hp it puts out.

BMW is seriously the only one that offers anything close to this. Everything else is turbo or automatic and i've given up searching lol.

Should I consider living in my car?

I've been really considering living out my car recently. I'm a 20-year old male and I been living with my parents my whole life. I'm constantly under there rule and control and I'm sick of it. I have a part-time job at a gas station on the weekend where I make about $130/week. It isn't a whole lot, but I've been saving and managed to scrape up enough money for a used car. It's a 1999 Honda Accord Sedan, it's an amazing car and runs great. I can definitely rely on this car, after all, it is a Honda. Paid $1,700 for it. Car is in great shape too. Anyways, my main reason for doing this is to learn how to be independent, if there's a character trait I feel I lack most, it's discipline. I've always been reliant on my parents to do everything for me. Make my food, wake me up for work, etc. But no more. I've had it. It's time to see if I can survive on my own. I don't need mommy and daddy to hold my hand anymore. I've been doing a lot of research and I find it very possible for me to really live in my car. My insurance is also under my fathers name, so it's super cheap. I plan on doing this for at least a month to see how it pans out. I tried telling my mom and she's telling me it's too dangerous, blah blah blah, she clearly just doesn't want me to do it. I'm a grown man and she can't talk me out of it. It isn't dangerous if you know what you're doing. So what do you guys think? Should I do it? Cause I really just might.

I have everything planned out too…
