Which civic engine is the best?

Hi, I want to know your opinion on which honda civic engine is the best?

I heard that B16A2, H22A and K20A are the best… They all have the V-Tec technology of course

I'm thinking the B16A2 is the best since it has 160 HP and is 1.6L having great fuel economy and acceleration. It was used by Ayrton Senna by the way

which one do you think is the best civic engine ever? And why?

Buying 18yr/o son a New Car?

And thank you for taking time to respond. My 18 year old Son: Troy, has been badgering me and my wife about BMW's for years. From Spotting them out on the roads to racing up to me with the newest models in the motor trend spreads. When it came time for him to receive a car my wife and I weren't financially prepared to drop a lump on his dream car; I had just opened my dental practice and with my wife just opening her podiatry clinic, all of our available finances were being utilized and poured into our practices. So we made the decision to buy him an '06 Honda Civic. It had 3 previous owners and the car fax was pristine, and with the MSRP being 13,500 it was more practical for the moment. It's been 2 years since then, Troy hasn't had any accidents however I can't say the same for speeding tickets which is normal for his age group. Business in Calabasas is better than ever, and our practices have flourished and the profits are wonderful, which means now when Troy approaches me with these spreads, I no longer have a legit ament reason for why he can't have one. He'll be going to college next month and my wife and I thought it would be a wonderful surprise, however due to the plethora of speeding tickets I'm reaping the repercussions of paying the bill, a coupe is out of question. Is this a good idea. What model is age appropriate?

What is the most reliable and durable new small car in production?

For this question, I'm talking about smaller 4 door passenger cars like the honda civic, toyota corolla, nissan versa, hyundai accent, etc. Hatchbacks are also included (even though companies label them as having 5 doors). Out of all the different models on the market, which manufacturer produces the most durable and reliable car?

Honda lying about engine block crack?

I had issues with my honda regarding a crack. I heard that Honda would have covered my civic because 2006-2009 had problems with the blocks cracking. It was also said most places that work on them would say the motors went out because of water pump failing, which is what I was told my issue was. What do you think?

Second car loan or save up?

I recently lost my car in an accident and it resulted in being totaled. I NEED another car as soon as possible! I have no idea which road to take, as there are many. Are there any experts out there? I currently am still paying off the car loan of my most recent Honda Civic. Would it be a bad idea to get a second loan somewhere else for a different car but maybe just get a lower grade car? Or would it be better to save up for a decent old used car.

Also, how cheap is TOO cheap to buy for any car? I have been recently looking at Craigslist and Cars.com

Which car will have the best resale value by 2020?

If I were to buy (cash not finance) one of the following:

2013 Scion FR-S (great mpg, a bit higher insurance)

2009 Honda Civic Si (good mpg, good insurance)

2007 Lexus is250 (eh mpg, good insurance)

The fr-s has 37,000 miles
The civic has 75,000 miles
Lexus has 85,000 miles

So by 2020 we're talking at 12k/yr. (6k in 2014)
Fr-s = 103,000
Civic si = 141,000
Lexus = 151,000

Which car will have better resale? The fr-s will cost more insurance wise and is a bit more initially but the mpg and good reliability may pay for itself… After all its a Toyota (Lexus is too but I think parts are a bit more expensive right?)
