Am I tall enough to ride a Honda CRF250R?

I really want a 250 and i'm about 5'6 and weigh around 115-120. This would be my first dirt bike. I was first looking at a yz125 but saw the seat height was taller and also I don't really like the high pitch noise unlike the 250. Also I sat on a 150 and was flat footed and heard that you shouldn't be flat footed

Motorcycle for a beginner?

I'm about to begin my basic motorcycle riding lessons and honestly have no idea which motorcycle to purchase -- I'm looking to purchase a used cruiser. Honda Rebel or Kawasaki Vulcan maybe? I'm about 6'00" / 200 lbs.

Best motorcycle for a beginner? - 1

I'm 18 and i'm in DC. I want to know what you think is the best motorcycle for a guy thats 6'1 1/2 and 168 lb. My preference leans towards sport bikes, cafe racers or the classic standard ones that are from the 60s and 70s. I have very little motorcycling experience and the little experience that i have is with small 250cc Honda rebels. I have heard some beginners can handle starting on more advanced bikes like the Ducati monster 696 or the Triumph Thruxton however in an honest opinion is that possible? I'm not overly obsessed by getting a powerful bike at first but I don't want a bike thats gonna make me look huge on it while its so small and one that can actually move around and not make my wieght hamper its speed. Really appreciate it guys thanks.

01 Honda CBR 600 F4i idling funny?

I have a 2001 Honda CBR 600 F4i, it has always blinked the FI light 2 blinks since I have bought it but ran fine, 2 blinks is for MAP sensor or vacuum hose. Then recently it started stalling and blinking 1 time which is MAP sensor code. So I removed the gas tank and air box, unhooked the MAP sensor and checked the vacuum hoses, everything looked fine and I put it all back together.

After putting it back together it didn't have any FI light blinking anymore but was idling high at around 4k rpm. I figured maybe one of the vacuum hoses came off while putting it together causing it to idle high so I tore it down again and all the hoses were good.

After putting it back together the second time it idles around 2k rpm but jumps around up and down and even stalled itself out.

Anyone have any ideas what it may be? I ordered a MAP sensor and it should arrive this week but I'm not sure that's the issue, their is no light blinking anymore.

What's a good starter motorcycle?

I've rode dirtbikes since I was 5 and I just realized I turn 16 in 20 days. So I worked all summer to get a car but f*** a car, is rather get a bike. I have about $2000 that I want to put toward a motorcycle. I really want something lower in cc like around 250cc. I want name brand no Chinese junk. I wanted a something like a cbr or a ninja but my parents say it's a death trap. So what we narrowed it down to is the honda shadow style bikes. What are some other bikes like that?

What would make a good first motorcycle?

This is in addition to my question earlier about how to get into motorcycles. Again, I have never ridden a motorcycle before, therefore I need to learn and take courses before committing, but I'm curious about what options are available.

I really like the looks of the Harley Davidson Sportster (and I hear that they are relatively cheap for Harley Davidson). I also like some of the Honda styles that resemble the sportster style Harley. I would consider other brands, but I do not have any interest in the motorcycles that are intended for speed.

What do you guys think?

Am I ready for a Honda Shadow 750?

I've taken the motorcycle safety class and the only other experience on a motorcycle I have had was on my uncle's harley wide glide, which i could handle except for taking off from stop signs. I'm a beginner, but i feel like my only problem is clutch control and turning from a stopped position. So i thought a smaller bike would be better. My question is, do you think the Honda Shadow 750 would be a good bike for me?

How often to change my motorcycle oil?

I own a 2009 Honda CBR600RR, when I bought the bike the person at the dealership didn't tell me how often I should change the oil. Lol so here is where you experienced riders come in!
