Does anyone else enjoy their commute to work?

A few co-workers think I'm crazy for living 1 hour away from work, but honestly it doesn't really bother me. I enjoy driving, it gives me time to relax and actually helps me clear my head before work because I'm concentrating on driving, esp in heavier traffic, rather than thinking about work.Although maybe my opinion is slanted because I do work 3- 12 hour shifts in a week. Even with wear and tear on my car, the cost of living near where I work is substantially higher, and it wouldn't make sense to rent when I'm only paying 15 dollars per week in gasoline driving an old Honda.

Would you rather be closer to work and pay 875 per month for a 1 bedroom apartment, or live an hour away and own an older small 2 bedroom house for 500 a month?

Do car companies have to fix recalls free of charge?

Looked up my car and it had four recalls. Does the company I bought the car from (bought new) have to do the maintenance free of charge? Also should I print out the sheet from the Honda website with all the recalls? (I'm in the US).

Are Honda Jazz s decent cars?

My aunt has offered to give me her manual 2008 Honda Jazz, because she s buying an automatic. It's only done 22,000 miles, so shouldn t have incurred too much wear and tear.

What I want to know is: Are they spacious (I'm 6 ft 4), Are they easy to drive (I currently drive a 2003 Toyota Yaris), and will I look ridiculous as a 27 year old driving such a vehicle?

Looking to buy a new car, thinking Honda or Acura (same brand). Any others I should consider?

I'm currently on the last legs of my chevy cobalt, which was my first car. Despite it being a dinky little GM it has taken me far and been a great car. Sad to see it go. However, I want to buy a car with more longevity. I know Honda's are great, strong cars with quality that lasts. Unfortunately I'm having trouble finding a used one around me right now with the details I want (sedan and sunroof, black interior, not beige, grey or white).
What are some other makes that stand the test of time? I know toyota's are great as well, but having a similar issue finding a used one around me. I want more options to look into.
