Whenever I first start my car and put it in reverse, the transmission makes a brief screech noise. It ll do it on occasion if I switch it into park.
It's still a new car and I don't think it should be doing this. What might the problem be?
I have a Honda Accord EX V6 2001 Auto with 200000 plus miles and I'm thinking to put a turbo on it for some unicorn power. I going to rebuild the engine either way. Yet, I have my eyes on the future goal on putting a V8 on a Miata. The Miata would look dirt nasty form the outside and will have the eternal power of a roaring V8.
I've been with the Honda for 2 years now and the only big thing that I had to repair is the transmission which cost 1000+ to repair. It doesn't have a Cat, broken gasket between engine and trans (that's why I want to rebuild so I can fix the gasket.) Other than that the Honda runs great.
With the Miata, Ill need to buy it then later on in a few years ill have to swap in a V8. Itll probably have an old 5.0 off a mustang or twin turbo. Ill be a long project car.
My limit is probably going to be 4 thousand on the Honda and for the Miata they usually cost less than 3000 in good condition. Miata has to be manual and a MK1
I have a 1994 automatic Honda Accord Lx that has been having car troubles lately. It runs good but it jerks sometimes while driving. Before there would be times where as I was stepping on the gas while driving it would suddenly gave trouble accelerating but it would go away and do it again another day. Today as I was driving it it would begin to jerk and hesitate to accelerate when starting from the stoplight. The check engine has also turned on and it hasn't turned off. Before it would come on but go away soon.

I may be way off on this but I'm basically running out of answers/options with this. So I have an old car (1996 Honda Accord) and I've had it for a year or so. The only problems with the car is that there's a hole in the muffler that causes it to make a loud noise when turning on and while driving it (not the biggest issue). The issue is is that my air conditioner would be cool for about 15-20 minutes then basically give out and just blow out air. Does anyone know if the hole in the muffler would effect it? If not does anyone know if any way i could fix this? The antifreeze is fine btw, got it checked already.
My friend rear ended someone and is looking for new parts, but is having trouble coming across parts for an accord. I know my Sunfire has same parts as the Cavalier, so I'm just curious what his other option is
In a few days imma try put seafoam in my 1993 Honda Accord Lx F22a1. I want to use the whole bottle so is it best to pour 1/3 in brake booster line, 1/3 in gas tank, and 1/3 in oil or is it a different process?
Whenever I start the car with the engine cold, I hear a sort of grinding or whirring noise coming from right around the power steering pump. I'm not sure if it is the pulley or the pump itself making the noise. And also, I have a leak problem. There's what I'm pretty sure to be power steering fluid all over the general area in which the pump and reservoir are, even over the alternator and belts which are right below it. I can't find the source of the leak. It drips down to the ground right below the pump. Also My power steering fluid inside the reservoir bubbles up when the car starts running. Anybody have any ideas on what the issue may be?
