What do I do now about my car?

I bought a car and my dad bought a mechanic that he's friends with. He did a tube up on the car I've spent around 600 plus dollars on it already on other parts. So now the car is blowing white smoke and he tells me it's the head gasket. I bought the car for $2000 and is one of the stupidest choice that I made ik. It's a 1997 honda civic ex. I think it would've been cheaper to replace the motor. Any advice?

Can i put an oem spoiler from a 2dr 01 Honda civic on to my 4dr 01 civic?

I have been looking for a spoiler for my 01 Civic ex, and I've decided to just get an oem aftermarket spoiler. But the thing is, I'm not sure if i like the oem spoiler for the four door civic, its just too low, but i do like the height on the 01 civic coupe spoiler plus i think it looks better. I was wondering if i get the oem spoiler for a 2dr civic could it fit on my 4dr?

Should I sell my Corolla for a Civic?

So I have a 2005 Toyota Corolla with 50k miles (used to be my grandmas and she drove it little). I've had it for over a year and it's absolutely perfect, no issues whatsoever, but it's kind of a boring car without a lot of aftermarket parts. I'm 19 and in college so I need a reliable car that's good on gas, so I was thinking of selling it for a different, more fun, used 4 cylinder car. I think a Honda Civic would be a good choice, I don't plan on ricing it out or anything but from what I see it's a bit more of a fun, better handling car. I'd also like to get a manual instead of an automatic (my Corolla is an auto and I've driven stick and like it much better).

So, do you guys think it's worth selling my Corolla, getting hopefully around 9 grand for it, and getting a used Civic? Or is it not gonna be worth it? Any input is appreciated.

Should I get a gti or a civic si?

I recently graduated college and landed my first real job and I'm looking to replace my slow pos 99 Mazda b2500.

I'm looking at used vw gti's between and 2010 and 2012 and Honda civic si's 2012 or newer. Originally I wasn't going to consider the civic as they accelerate slow, don't have a turbo, and aren't hatchbacks. However my dad said I should look at Honda's and Toyotas because they are more reliable, and the only car similar in price and performance is the civic so. The car will be mainly used to commute to work and freeway driving. What do you guys think? Is the GTI really that unreliable that I should go with the civic si
