Ran over puddle crank but won't start?

I would really appreciated if you able to help me. But if not i still really appreciated taking your time reading this.

I work 7 months to save up bought a car, It's Honda civic dx 1999 for $ 2,500 The engine everything is all good. A week ago it's raining hard in my town "Texas" i ran over a puddle the recent owner have a cold air intake and. I gues it must suck some water into the engine. When it happen it's about 10 foot the car shut down and stop. Lucky i don't see any cracked from the engine or oil spill so i guess and hope the engine are still good. The problem is i can crank it but i can't not get it start. And hopefully it's not a hydro-locking. I try get a quote from near they say fix can be 800 or more. I don't have that kind money so i'm try self fix.

i search over youtube i saw other people have similar thing and they take all the spark plugs and crank the engine to spit all the water that still remain in the engine, right now i can crank but can't not get it start i. I did a basic test like see any spark when starting from the engine. There's no spark from spark plug, 'm thinking is is the engine coil must be damage?

i'm really appreciate if you able to help me, i would like take to the mechanic but the price is too much for me to handle at the moment.

When should I trade in my car?

I recently bought a new 2013 Honda Civic because I couldn't afford the vehicle that I really wanted. I'm looking at buying a Jeep Wrangler and most likely not new. Within the next few months I will be making enough money to be able to afford it and make whatever upgrades I want to it. I just do not know how much longer I should wait to trade in my Honda. I currently owe a little over $14,000 on it. How long should I wait to trade it in and should I make more than the minimum payments each month if I have the extra money?

What type of car should I buy?

I'm preferably looking for the scion tc or honda civic ex both 2014. I just don't know what's the best financial decision because I'm so young.

1998 Honda Civic EX Manual won't Crank When it's Hot Outside?

My car starts fine in the morning when I turn it on and go to work. Then it sits outside in the sun all day from the morning till around 5 or 6.

When I go to start my car after work, if it was over ~80F outside that day, my car won't start. My engine hasn't been running, so it's not necessarily related to an overheated engine because once it starts it runs fine and it's starting from a cool engine. But the ambient temperature heat is enough to cause the starting issue. When I turn the key the radio, lights, etc. All get power. But when I turn the key to crank the car nothing happens. No noise at all. So it's not even trying to crank.

Usually I have to wait about 60 seconds and then try again a few times and it will start.

About three months ago I had my starter and distributor replaced, and had my battery replaced about a year ago. I thought it may be a defective clutch switch, which tells my car the clutch is pushed in so it will start. But I think I've ruled that out by compressing the clutch, trying to start, nothing happens, keep the clutch pushed in and wait, try again and it starts.

Seems like it could be an electrical issue with some wiring when they installed my new starter and distributor? Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

I've honda civic 2003 where srs light is on?

I've my Honda civic 2003 where srs light is one and I guess that's due to seat belt. But seat belt sign didn't show anything but when I cleaned it, it started showing seat belt sign when clipped which is a good sign. But the srs sign hasn't gone off. I also tried from youtube videos swiching off srs light with paper clip connection on yellow switch but showed nothing. So srs light is still on
but i'm thinking to take this problem to Honda dealer but I fear that they may first charge for diagnostic test then followed by repair charge which might cost rocket price. Any suggestion?

How to perform a tune up on a 2001-2005 Honda Civic EX?

Please only respond if you have REAL experience! Or CERTIFIED mechanic. Thank you.
I just bought a 2001 Honda Civic EX in pretty good condition, passed smogged with flying colors & a mechanic. No problems. Everything works and only 115K miles. Clean title. My plan is to change the oil, oil filter, PCV valve, air/cabin filter & spark plugs. It all seems relatively simple, just screwing and unscrewing. And torquing down the spark plugs carefully.

I have three questions:
A) any common things to be cautious of when doing these things?

B) since i'm going to do it myself, i don't mind spending the extra $10 for the best parts. I plan to use valvoline or bosch motor oil 5-30/bosch oil filter. NGK spark plugs. K&N filter. Good brand PCV valve(welcome to recommend). And do this every 5000k miles. Good? Or bad?

C) also with this car what else should i be doing to keep her healthy and live a long life?

LET ME KNOW WHAT I'm DOING WRONG/ WHAT TO DO RIGHT thanks again for helping. And thank you for reading.
