About How Much Does a Used Car Cost?

So, I don't know much about cars.

I just want a decent car that can get me around to places. Maybe a Toyota Camry or a Honda Civic? I don't really care that much about brand.

I just want a simple used car. Since I'm still a college student and I'm getting a job soon, I just want a used car to get around.

I don't want to put myself in too much debt so I want to avoid car loans. I'd like to know how much to save up.

Approximately how much will a used car cost me? Is there anything I should know before buying a car? Or any advice when buying one?

Nology hotwires, are they worth the money?

Nology hotwires I heard about these spark plug wires and thinking about getting some, but the only thing I'm wondering is if it's worth buying? I have some questions and I would like for someone with experience with em to tell me if their any good. Do the last as long as any other wires? And do they need a specific spark plug to work? Would they over do with to much power for my engine or burnout the spark plugs I already have?

Check engine light was on when I bought car off friend of mine. Only one code popped up on the OBD2 code reader of mine… It says """""""""""" P1337 Manufacture Controlled System or Misfire""""""""""""."i did some homework on it and was wondering if it truly is the Crankshaft position sensor?

will replacing the sensor with a new one take off check engine light? I been hearing that if it was the crankshaft itself my car will run like crap, and if it was the whole sensor itself the car would have trouble starting but my car has NEITHER… Runs great and starts up well. Could it just be a bad ground or something from the sensor being that its a "Manufacture" thing?

Will I be judged for driving a lousy car to a fine restuarant?

I'm by no means rich. But I have an anniversary coming up and to make it special I've saved enough to take my So to a nice 5 star restaurant. But, I drive a really lousy car. Will I be judged? I feel so bad thinking about pulling up in this old clunker and everyone else has a nice Beemer or something. D: I have a 2006 Honda Civic with a bumper that's on the verge of just falling off. It's hanging on by glue and prayers. It also has a semi-loud squeaky rattle when turning. Should I just give this whole ideaup and go somewhere else with my money?

How long will a well maintained honda civic si last for?

I'm looking to buy a used 2010 honda civic si from a audi car dealer. The car has been inspected by the audi dealer and before my purchase i will be taking it to a mechanic. I'm somewhat knowledgeable about cars(jeep's in particular). The civic has great maintenance records and was serviced at the same dealer my mom gets here honda oddessy serviced. The car never missed a tire rotation and never missed an oil change. I test drove it the clutch and transmission were awesome. Anyways i'm making a nice investment on this vehicle and want this car to last me to atleast 150k with only a clutch repair and obviously general maintenance. I know that civic lx's and other trims last well how are the si's?

Does a 4 door honda civic si cost more on insurance than a honda civic lx/ex/?

I'm looking to buy a used 2010 honda civic si. I've had 4 other cars insured in the past. My insurance is progressive. I've done quotes on several years of the honda civic 4 door and they seem to be in my favor however, the quote doesn't ask for the trim of the vehicle. When i put my vin in will my premium go up? Sorry i'm bad at asking question if that doesn't make sense

2005 Honda Civic Breaks and Power Mirror Connected?

I just bought a used 2005 Honda with 55,000 miles from a dealership.
I've noticed the left mirror seemed to need adjusting every ten minutes or so of driving. Later I noticed a clicking sound when I would break - not from the breaks itself, but under the shifter/dash area towards the passenger side.

In the end, I have found that the button that moves the mirrors makes the same click and from the same location as the breaks. If the slider that you move to pick which mirror to move is on the L mirror, it does not move, but the breaks click every time you compress and remove your foot.

If the slider is in the neutral or the R position there's no click, but the left mirror moves when you use the break. If you hold the break down it moves consistently, if you tap the breaks it moves only the length you hold the brake.

Any idea what this is and how this can be fixed?

If My Car is overheating and i turned the heater on the temperature remains stable what could be the problem?

I have 1998 honda civic it was good a while back then no long Ago it started overheating and i change the thermostat and nothing changed and then they told Me the catilyzer could be clogged and i fixed it And nothing changed the rare thing about this is that when the temperature valve start going up i turn the heater on and it goes back down to halfways. I've taking it to a mechanic and he couldnt fix it… I need help.
